Better Than Me by Kimberly Kincaid (Remington Medical #2)

πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Better Than Me is like my ultimate dream episode of Grey's Anatomy! I love the chemistry between the main characters and their strong friendship with each other.

Natalie's girls nights have me cracking up and wishing I had more of my own. Her love for children, especially her patients, had me tearing up at points.

Jonah is the epitome of a dream doctor, and brought back my crush on Doug Ross from ER, lol. He's suffered heartache and doesn't want to put his heart on the line ever again.

I wasn't able to put this book down once I started and was even listening to it in the car. The development between the characters, and as individuals, happens at the perfect pace and I couldn't have asked for a better story!

Summary:

Remington's most notoriously single, notoriously sexy surgeon is about to fall for the one woman he can't have...

Did I mention that she's
A) his best friend
B) immune to his panty-melting charm, and
C) sleeping on his couch for the next six weeks?

Marcus by Kelsie Rae (Signature Sweethearts #6)

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

If you're looking for a slow burn that will have you falling in love with love, Kelsie Rae creates the perfect story for you!

The "Signature Sweethearts" series is one of my go-to reads when I just want to escape in a good happily ever romance. Even if there are times I worry about how it could possibly all turn out in the end, the journey is definitely worth the ride!

πŸ˜„ Comedy
 πŸ’§  Drama

Brief Summary:
Marcus has been in love with his little sister's best friend for as long as he can remember, so what could possibly go wrong with moving in with her?

Natalie has had a crush on Marcus since the first day he came to her rescue as a child, but being in such a close proximity to him has her heart racing and her head questioning what she really wants in life.

Zara's Zephyr by Janelle Daniels (The Alphabet Mail-Order Brides #25)

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

The story begins when Zara Wigg travels to start a school of her own and become a mail-order bride. The man she's fallen for through correspondence, isn't her husband-to-be, so Zara is left to find another match, per the requirements for the school funding.

Thaddeus Gray feels responsible for the betrothal failure and vows to help Zara find a new candidate, the only problem is he starts to wonder if finding gold is more important than love.

Zara's Zephyr is a charming tie-in to the Miners to Millionaires series, but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. A tale of deceit that leads to friendship, while searching for a suitable husband. I love Zara's strength and the protectiveness of Thaddeus. This is definitely one of my favorites in the AMOB series and I'll be revisiting them again in the near future!

Misadventures with a Country Boy by Elizabeth Hayley (Misadventures Series #17)

 πŸ€ πŸ‘ΈπŸ€ πŸ‘ΈπŸ€

One hell of a ride to go on! Join famous singer Brooke Devereaux, as she runs from her controlling parents and a deal she wants to part of signing. Enter lost and hurt, former soldier Cole Timmons to the rescue (in more ways than one), and you've got quite the explosive pairing.

I couldn't put this one down once I started - between discovering the truth behind Cole's past and what Brooke deals with on a daily basis, my heart broke for them both. A wonderful journey of self-discovery, and letting go of the past, this is easily in my top 3 favorite in the Misadventures Series!

Misadventures with the Boss by Kendall Ryan (Misadventures Series #12)

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

Piper Daniels has moved to a new city for a fresh start, when her "helpful" sister sets her up on a blind date via the internet, on a site that is known for hookups.

Jackson Dane is a pompous womanizer, who has no time for relationships, only his job as CEO. One night isn't enough for him, but Piper is gone before he can blink.

They're both astonished when come Monday morning, they discover that it's a smaller world than anyone could've guessed. Piper is determined to keep things strictly professional, but that makes the challenge even more appealing for Jackson.

This was a great steamy read, with depth to the storyline and a great background to the characters. I'm a sucker for a good office romance, even if it began before they technically worked together, lol.

Needing Him by Kennedy Fox (Bishop Brothers #2)

πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Yet another hit for the Bishop Brothers series! Evan comes from a family of ranchers, but he's a doctor who's married to his work. After a traumatic past, he's closed himself off to the opposite sex and is perfectly happy with one night stands...

Enter Emily Bell, after one crazy night at a friends wedding, she walks away due to a misunderstanding, but when their paths cross again, the heat is on baby! While Evan is determined to put Emily in her place and remind her that not everyone uses their family name to get their current job, she's just as set on proving that she deserves to be doing what she loves.

This book has just the right amount of romance, with a twist of action and mystery. I love that the entire family is involved through most of the story, so you're always eager for the next book. Kennedy Fox knocked it out of the park with this one and I definitely will be rereading this entire series!

Smiling Irish by Katy Regnery (The Summerhaven Trio #2)

πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

My favorite set of triplets and the series still has one more to go! This one begins with a rough start, having an injured stranger show up on Tierney's doorstep in the middle of the night. She knows she's not in danger, but will inviting Burr into her cottage, let alone her life, lead to more complications than she can handle?

This story took my breath away, and I couldn't put it down! The author does an amazing job of weaving such detailed backgrounds for the characters, that you can't help but fall in love with them and just go along on their journey. I can't wait for the next book!

A Mail-Order Illusion by Janelle Daniels (Miners to Millionaires – Book 8)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Violet comes from high expectations and people who lie to her. With no real friends, she’s forced to make the best of a situation, which involves living with 8 other women. Her ice-cold exterior slowly starts to melt, but with no promises on the horizon, she contemplates returning to her controlling family.

Jimmy Thornton is well-off, and still recovering from his failed courting of Aria. When he rescues Violet, they make a secret arrangement, and in doing so, it enables them to get to know one another without any facades.

I loved watching their friendship blossom and grow. Trust the author to throw in a good twist just to keep you on your toes! Only 2 more books to go in the series, but it’ll definitely be one that I revisit often.

One-Eyed Jack by Irish Winters (The Deuces Wild series – Book 3)

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

Don't be distracted by the cover, this handsome specimen is more than a pretty face. Special Agent Isaiah Zaroyin is one of the FBI’s most valuable assets with his psychic gift to help get him out of sticky situations. Unfortunately, he’s told to work an undercover assignment with a tough Metro cop, who’s stubbornly out to prove she’s as good as any of the male officers.

Roxy Thurston has had her share of struggles in life and is determined not to allow Agent Zaroyin too close. After they’re forced to team up on a case, all bets are off. The chemistry and stubbornness between these two characters is off the charts explosive.

While trying to figure out the twists and turns of the plot, you’ll find yourself glued to the edge of your seat. The author provides plenty of entertainment and some points where I found myself holding my breath until the scene unfolded. This was another great addition to the Deuces Wild series, and it just gets better with each book!

Last Chance Cowboys: The Rancher by Anna Schmidt (Where the Trail Ends Series - Book 4)

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nell Stokes is a widow, just trying to protect her young son and their property. When her half-brother tries to intervene and take over the ranch, she has to decide what's best for her family. Her choices are to sign over the farm, marry a man that's already crossed her personal boundaries, or accept the marriage proposal of the enemy.

Trey Porterfield feels an instant attraction when he first meets Nell, and after witnessing the harassment she endures, all he wants is to provide a safe environment for her and her son. Hoping to quell the disagreements between the cattlemen and herders, Nell's choice ends up causing a larger war than anyone could've imagined.

This was a wonderful story filled with adventure, danger and romance. The author does a great job of keeping you on your toes. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, and the twists will have you captivated with each page.

Misadventures of a College Girl by Lauren Rowe (Misadventures Series #9)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Zooey Cartwright arrives at her first party while at college, determined to finally lose her virginity. She ends up meeting Tyler Caldwell, but despite his cocky ego, making out is as far as he'll go with her. Angry with how her night turned out, she swears Tyler out of her life, only to end up in 2 classes with him.

The banter between the two main characters is witty, humorous and pure entertainment. Their chemistry is off the charts, and believe me, there are plenty of steamy scenes!

I've never wished for a male lead character to be real, as much as I did with Tyler. The man only gets better with every chapter! I ignored the Olympics for this book and was so involved in the outcome that when I reached 90%, I messaged the author that I was barely hanging on by a thread! LOVED this book!!!

Wet/Hot/Masked by Angel Payne (Honor Bound series - Books 5, 6, 7)

Three new additions to the Honor Bound series by Angel Payne. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but great stories filled with second chances and fighting for what you believe in. All are super-steamy reads, with action, romance and adventure.

I recommend starting from Book 1 since it has characters that intertwine throughout the series. Masked is by favorite one in the series so far and I can't wait for the rest of them to be released this year. I'll post links to the books on Amazon below and I have reviews posted on their as well for each individual book! Enjoy!

A Mail-Order Escape by Janelle Daniels (Miners to Millionaires - Book 7)

When young widow Sadie Johnston goes into labor in the woods, she ends up at the home of Owen Judd, who helps her deliver the baby, and forms a bond with the duo. Sadie has been traumatized from her previous relationship and friendship is all she’s willing to share with anyone, especially with having a child involved now.

This was another charming story in the Mail-Order Brides series (Ivan’s Brides, lol). I loved the relationship aspects between Owen and Sadie, his patience with her past and adoration for baby Jack made my ovaries cry. I love how each story in the series still involves all of the other brides, so you can still get to know the others who haven’t had their story told yet, and revisit some of the previous brides as well.
