Bullseye by Monica James (The Monsters Within Duet #1)

πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Bullseye will break your heart! Monica James is the master of romantic suspense, and don't even get me started on her crazy plot twists. My recommendation when reading any of her books is to throw all expectations out the window, and brace yourself for a wild ride that will wreck you in the best of ways.

Bullseye has had 12 years to plan his revenge on those that took the one thing he cared about, away from him. He'll stop at nothing until then and the last thing he needs is a woman to serve as a distraction, let alone get tied up in the darkness he dwells in.

Lily is doing the best she can as a single mother, while holding on to her dignity and self-respect. She's incredibly strong for someone that has had everything ripped away from her and continues to struggle on a daily basis.

This book ripped my heart out and held it in it's fragile hands from the first chapter...I'm not sure I'll ever get it back. With characters that will gut you, making you go back and forth between wanting to yell or cry, all while loving them with your whole heart.

Bullseye is a book I recommend clearing your schedule to read, as you won't be able to focus on anything else until you've finished. A beautifully woven and twisted tale by an author that has no shame in stomping on my heart. I need the next book now!

Summary:

For twelve long years, I've breathed, I've bled for only one thing...

Revenge.

Four men took something from me, something which can never be replaced. That one night changed the lives of so many and taught me that monsters are real.

But I also learned I'm the biggest monster of them all.

Nothing and no one will stand in my way of redemption because those men...they're now three. The fourth -- he is the reason they call me Bullseye. They can run, but sooner or later, I'll find them, just as I did with their friend. They're already dead...they just don't know it yet.

My plan was simple until I met her. A fierce tiger who had the power to break my heart. Lucky for me...she can't break what's already broken. I am no longer a man because the world is a jungle, and we're all just animals -- ready to tear one another apart.

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

With Emmalina's new powers, she's suddenly in the same playing field as Reece. Keeping secrets from the Consortium, is easier said than done, but with the stakes at an all-time high, there's nothing Team Bolt won't do to protect the greatest secret of all.

A heart-stopping adventure that keeps you enthralled with every page. Definitely read this series from the beginning and prepare to lose sleep until you've read it all!

The Red Ledger 4 by Meredith Wild

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

I've never been so anxious for a series to have a new release, as I have been with this one! Each one will keep you on your toes and just when you think you'll get an answer to one question, three more plot twists will appear.

Tristan is running from a past he can't remember, but the more he and Isabel dig to uncover secrets, the danger surrounding them escalates.

You definitely want to start at the beginning with these books, but fair warning, once you start, you won't be able to stop until you're caught up! Filled with action, drama, suspense and romance.

Smiling Irish by Katy Regnery (The Summerhaven Trio #2)

πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

My favorite set of triplets and the series still has one more to go! This one begins with a rough start, having an injured stranger show up on Tierney's doorstep in the middle of the night. She knows she's not in danger, but will inviting Burr into her cottage, let alone her life, lead to more complications than she can handle?

This story took my breath away, and I couldn't put it down! The author does an amazing job of weaving such detailed backgrounds for the characters, that you can't help but fall in love with them and just go along on their journey. I can't wait for the next book!

Last Chance Cowboys: The Rancher by Anna Schmidt (Where the Trail Ends Series - Book 4)

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nell Stokes is a widow, just trying to protect her young son and their property. When her half-brother tries to intervene and take over the ranch, she has to decide what's best for her family. Her choices are to sign over the farm, marry a man that's already crossed her personal boundaries, or accept the marriage proposal of the enemy.

Trey Porterfield feels an instant attraction when he first meets Nell, and after witnessing the harassment she endures, all he wants is to provide a safe environment for her and her son. Hoping to quell the disagreements between the cattlemen and herders, Nell's choice ends up causing a larger war than anyone could've imagined.

This was a wonderful story filled with adventure, danger and romance. The author does a great job of keeping you on your toes. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, and the twists will have you captivated with each page.

Country Nights by Winter Renshaw

This story is filled with heartbreak, suspense, and laughter. After discovering her fiancΓ©e has been cheating on her, Leighton rents her childhood home to escape to. When she finds out that she was scammed, the broken cowboy who owns the home offers her a deal, room & board in exchange for working the farm.

This was a wonderful journey of two people overcoming their pasts and learning to open up their hearts again. SO much better than I was expecting, and it keeps you guessing with all of the twists and turns in the story. I originally got it through KU and immediately bought it when i finished reading, so it'd forever be in my Kindle library. I'll definitely be reading this one again in the near future!
