Not According To Plan by A.M. Madden

🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼

Not According To Plan was a wonderful surprise, in more ways than one! I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get Amy and Brad's story soon as well. Buckle up and enjoy Jade and Max's story.

Jade Easton's career is about to take off when she discovers she's pregnant from a one-night stand. Little does she know that there are many more twists waiting to unravel.

Max Navarro is finally achieving his goal of opening his gym in multiple locations, but can he be pulled in different directions and still have it all?

**I'm going to be honest, I was a bit hesitant to read this when I first heard about some of the plot twists (spoilers are NOT cool people!), but I'm so glad I gave it a chance!

This was written with such hilarious and witty characters, not to mention the relationship between Max and his brothers. Super minimal angst, which I appreciated, allows you to be pulled in to the story and hoping that they can somehow work it all out.

The family/best friends dynamics are great and will have you laughing and a little heart broken, but it's so worth the journey, I promise! Don't miss out on this story, it's definitely one you'll want to read again soon.

For one night of my life, I dared to do something reckless. My birthday. A bar. Karaoke. And a man so hot he could melt the sun.

Sparks flew. Lust took over.

For one night of my life, I felt alive.

Then I was back to my "boring" life. Career-driven. Goal-oriented. Always planning ahead.

But nothing could have prepared me for the positive pregnancy test. We weren't that reckless.

There goes my "boring" life. And what happens when I tell the father?

The Best Friend Problem by Mariah Ankenman

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

The Best Friend Problem is a delightful, light-hearted romance. You'll be drawn in from the first page and won't be able to put it down until the end.

Prudence has amazing friends, including a super hot firefighter male bestie. Too bad her dating history is less than stellar and filled with duds, so that's when she decides to take matters into her own hands...

I was super jealous of her relationship with Finn throughout the story, as I wish there were more guys out there like him! Pru is fiercely independent and has a plan for everything, so watching it all go up in smoke was highly entertaining.

This story is filled with romance, laughter and a touch of drama. My first read by Mariah Ankenman, but definitely not my last! (Although we really need to talk about the pregnancy cravings she created for Pru!)

Except all this talk of babies and insemination and...Pru and Finn cross a line they never expected to. Sure, one night of passion won't change their close relationship. Until Pru goes in for a fertility check-up to find...she's already pregnant.

As best friends, Pru and Finn have survived college, new jobs, and bad breakups, but can they survive crib shopping, birth classes, and late-night cravings? Especially when Finn has never considered himself even remotely Daddy material?

Baby Yours: Hunter & Lennon by Kennedy Fox (Roommate Duet #2)

πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

A wonderful conclusion to the heart-wrenching duet that begins with Baby Mine, so you MUST read that one first before diving into Baby Mine. It's a brutal start, but so worth the journey.

While pretending to be a happily married couple, expecting a baby, watching Hunter hide his true feelings for Lennon, gutted me to the core. Knowing there were still secrets that could ruin any potential relationship, had me hanging on to every page with bated breath.

As all Kennedy Fox books, they'll take you on a ride that you're not sure you'll survive, but you find yourself begging to go anyway. The emotions that the authors poor into their books make it that much more emotional and real for the reader.

Final warning: This duet will definitely leave you with a book hangover. Be prepared with kleenex, chocolate and plenty of coffee for the morning after. I couldn't go to sleep for over an hour after finishing this duet, and I loved every damn minute of it!

Synopsis:
The worst day of my life happened when Brandon died.
We had our entire future mapped out.
Careers, marriage, kids - in that order.
Then the universe threw a curveball and ended it all.

As I come to terms with everything, I learn I'm carrying his baby. Now I'm living with his roommate, the guy who's made my life a living hell the past two years. Hunter's now the one to hold me up when all I want to do is fall.

Knowing my religious parents will never accept the pregnancy out of wedlock, Hunter offers to be my fake husband. While I think he's gone crazy, it's the only plan that'll keep them in my life. So I do whatever it takes to make our relationship believable - kissing, touching, even letting him hold me when we sleep. The lines are so blurred, neither of us want to admit we're no longer pretending.

Birth of a Baby Daddy by Piper Rayne (The Baileys #3)

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

I absolutely love the Bailey family and if they were real, I'd move to Lake Starlight in an instant! This entire series has been one book after another that I couldn't put down once I started.

I won't go too into detail and spoil the surprises that Piper Rayne has in store, but after the cliffhanger they left their readers with at the end of Advice from a Jilted Bride, you'll think the wait was worth it.

Harley Sullivan is a woman after my own heart. She's strong and fierce, but growing up in the foster system has definitely forced her to build some walls.

Growing up without a family, Harley is determined to not have her daughter suffer the same fate. She doesn't expect to find the whole Bailey clan welcoming her and Calista with open arms.

With each book, you dive into more of not only the Bailey character the book is focused on, but it invites you to learn more about the entire family. It's like a family reunion that you never want to leave. This book still puts a smile on my face every time I think about it!

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

With Emmalina's new powers, she's suddenly in the same playing field as Reece. Keeping secrets from the Consortium, is easier said than done, but with the stakes at an all-time high, there's nothing Team Bolt won't do to protect the greatest secret of all.

A heart-stopping adventure that keeps you enthralled with every page. Definitely read this series from the beginning and prepare to lose sleep until you've read it all!

Intimate Intuition by Audrey Carlan (Lotus House #6)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

In this sixth installment of the Lotus House series, you learn more about Silas McKnight. The handsome owner of Knight & Day productions, who has built up a wall to protect him from enduring the kind of pain he's already had to suffer in life.

Dara Jackson is one of the instructors at Lotus House Yoga, while also running Sunflower Bakery next door. After a one-night stand, where the morning after goes horribly wrong, Dara wants to just forget it ever happened and move on with her life.

Fortunately, Fate has other plans...

As in typical Audrey Carlan fashion, this book will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride, that you won't soon forget. I literally couldn't stop reading this book, so I had to resort to having my Kindle read to me (in it's horrible monotone voice), while I was at work and during my commute.

Be prepared to laugh, cry, yell and hug those close to you. I LOVED Intimate Intuition and it's probably my favorite one in the series so far - which I feel like I always say, but they just get better (impossible, I know).

The characters have amazing chemistry, and I love how the story still weaves former characters back into their lives, so it's like you're always surrounded by friends. Dara is incredibly strong, loving and doesn't take any crap from anyone. The story of loss is handled beautifully, even if I did shed more than a few tears over it. A wonderful story in a truly spectacular series!
