The Bookworm's Guide to Flirting by Emma Hart (The Bookworm's Guide #3)

💜💜💜💜💜

Witty banter at it's best! The Bookworm's Guide to Flirting is chock full of laughter and romance. Please do NOT eat or drink while reading this story, as I can guarantee (from experience) it won't end well.

This was a delightful story of friends to lovers, and I especially enjoy when the male lead has the strong feelings first. *Swoon*

Dylan is the perfect gentleman and sets the bar high for non-book boyfriends around the world. His patience, kindness and being willing to just be friends, regardless of his own feelings, stole my heart.

This was the perfect ending for The Bookworm's Guide series, filled with witty banter, hilarious senior citizens, and romance that will sweep you off your feet.

The highlights for me were the cleverly created merchandise for the bookstore, and if it's a real thing, I'm ordering them asap! Here's an example of my favorite two:

"My books are hotter than this coffee."

"I take a different man to bed every night."

I can't wait for the new Introvert's Guide series, featuring characters we already know and love! Emma Hart has created a wonderful world that any reader can escape into, time and time again.

SUMMARY:

What I thought I'd get on Valentine's Day: a card.

What I got on Valentine's Day: a blind date with my brand new roommate.

Let it be known that I, Saylor Green, am wholeheartedly against blind dating. I think it's superficial, unnecessary, and designed wholly to force people into relationships they aren't ready for. It's me. I'm people.

So when Dylan Parker takes the seat across from me, I'm ready to dismiss him at one glance.

The problem? He's hot and funny and sweet and the exact kind of guy I read about in the romance novels I sell like hotcakes in my bookstore.

He's also my new roommate.

Who likes to walk around in his sweatpants and peer over my shoulder and comment on all my online dating escapades.

When he offers to help me flirt my way to dating success, I'm all for it.

But what am I supposed to do when the only person I want to flirt with is...Dylan?

The Friendship List by Susan Mallery

💙💙💙💙💙

This story will inspire you! The Friendship List is a captivating story of two people that choose to start living their lives again after love and loss.

This book put all of my emotions through the ringer, between tears of sorrow and laughter, my heart is inspired by these stories.

Ellen has basically put her entire life on hold to raise her son since she was a teenager, and she's determined to show him that she can have a life of her own if he goes away to college.

Unity on the other hand...her story is so heart-breaking -- being a widow at such a young age, never believing she can achieve any of her life goals now that she's alone...I was torn between wanting to hug her or shake some life back into her.

This is a book that will inspire you to take chances, pursue your dreams, and live your life to the fullest. For that, I will be forever grateful to Susan Mallery.

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Two best friends jump-start their lives in a summer that will change them forever...

Single mom Ellen Fox couldn't be more content -- until she overhears her son saying he can't go to his dream college because she needs him too much. If she wants him to live his best life, she has to convince him she's living hers.

So Unity Leandre, her best friend since forever, creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will complete the list, too, but not because she needs to change. What's wrong with a thirtysomething widow still sleeping in her late husband's childhood bed?

The Friendship List begins as a way to make others believe their just fine. But somewhere between "wear three-inch heels" and "have sex with a gorgeous guy," Ellen and Unity discover that life is meant to be lived with joy and abandon, in a story filled with humor, heartache and regrettable tattoos.

The Teaching Hours by Sara Ney (How to Date a Douchebag #5.5)

❤❤❤❤❤

A great addition to one of my favorite series! This is for all the Douchebag lovers who have always wondered what became of Rex Gunderson after he redeemed himself.

Hannah is witty, snarky, refreshingly uncensored and holds nothing back. When she recruits Rex to be her dating coach, you know you're in for some much needed laughter and sexy times.

**This is a delightfully entertaining quick read, but be careful when eating or drinking, as you may choke or snort fluid from laughing too hard.

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Everyone says Rex Gunderson isn't boyfriend material. Everyone says he isn't serious enough. Everyone says he's a joke. Rumor has it, the disgraced ex-manager of the wrestling team left campus with his tail between his legs.

But now Rex is back -- nowhere near the douchebag he used to be -- and ready to prove everyone wrong.

The leopard has changed his spots, and he's about to become my dating coach.

The Trade by Meghan Quinn

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Trade is a home-run in my book! If you're looking for a good slow burn sports romance, this is the one for you. The characters are witty, funny and will have you reading until you forget there's a real world that probably needs your attention, lol.

I enjoy watching unrequited crushes finally realizing that they can pursue the one that's captivated their attention, especially when family and friends interfere with the best of intentions.

I've been counting down to finally getting Cory's story ever since The Dugout, this book was everything I was hoping for and more. A great friends to lovers romance that will have you wanting to binge-read the entire series all over again.

Meghan Quinn is the queen of sports romance and knows how to perfectly weave a story that will draw you in, falling for characters and rooting for their happy endings!

Summary:

Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?

I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.

I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.

Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.

Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.

I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she's perfect.

I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn't get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.

So what's the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can't stop crushing on, yeah...she's married.

At least, that's what I was told...

Jock Road by Sara Ney (Jock Hard #3)

🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Jock Road is a wonderful sports romance! A perfect blend of humor, wit, romance and a dash of football - Sara Ney has delivered another spectacular addition to the Jock Hard series.

Charlie Edmonds is a ballsy, take-no-crap kind of girl...so when Jackson enters her world in the rudest of ways, she's determined to keep her distance.

Jackson Jennings has one focus - football. He has no desire to date or be distracted by any females, but when he crosses Charlie, he discovers that there might be more to life than the goals his Dad's set for him.

Jackson and Charlie are hysterical in their interactions, and I found myself having to gather my wits while reading, from laughing so hard. Every time they run into each other, I fully expected one of the two to end up being arrested, lol.

The author writes with no filter and I'm always reminded how much I adore her books when I've finished a new one! Perfect for any fan of the Douchebag series.

😄 Comedy
🏈 Sports Romance

Summary:
EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr's three mantras. His entire life, he's been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro's. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Repeat.

Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

BIG. DUMB. JOCK.

Charlie has no time for Jackson's antics. Not when he's stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right place. But if she's ever going to have a boyfriend, she'd choose one who isn't a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

The Best Friend Problem by Mariah Ankenman

💙💙💙💙💙

The Best Friend Problem is a delightful, light-hearted romance. You'll be drawn in from the first page and won't be able to put it down until the end.

Prudence has amazing friends, including a super hot firefighter male bestie. Too bad her dating history is less than stellar and filled with duds, so that's when she decides to take matters into her own hands...

I was super jealous of her relationship with Finn throughout the story, as I wish there were more guys out there like him! Pru is fiercely independent and has a plan for everything, so watching it all go up in smoke was highly entertaining.

This story is filled with romance, laughter and a touch of drama. My first read by Mariah Ankenman, but definitely not my last! (Although we really need to talk about the pregnancy cravings she created for Pru!)

 💧 Drama
👶 Pregnancy
💋 Romance

Summary:
Prudence Carlson has been lucky in life. A fulfilling wedding-planning business run with her girlfriends in Colorado, plus the best guy friend ever in her firefighter bestie Finn. All that's missing from it is a baby. Luckily, it's the twenty-first century - Pru can take matters into her own hands. She doesn't need to find true love to create the future love of her life.

Except all this talk of babies and insemination and...Pru and Finn cross a line they never expected to. Sure, one night of passion won't change their close relationship. Until Pru goes in for a fertility check-up to find...she's already pregnant.

As best friends, Pru and Finn have survived college, new jobs, and bad breakups, but can they survive crib shopping, birth classes, and late-night cravings? Especially when Finn has never considered himself even remotely Daddy material?

A Pizza My Heart by Teagan Hunter (Slice #1)

🍕🍕🍕🍕

A feel good comedy about second chances and childhood crushes. Foster starts to develop feelings for his best friends twin sister, so he does what anyone else in his position would do...he runs away.

Still reeling from the loss of her best friend, Wren is happy to see Foster come back to his hometown, but a lot has changed since he's been gone. She's still chasing her dreams and overworking herself to help the family business.

After a series of HILARIOUS blind dates, Foster is ready to throw in the towel on dating. When a co-worker suggests that Wren and Foster "pretend date" each other, so he can get unfiltered feedback, all bets are off.

Watching Foster struggle with his feelings for Wren is so tender, especially when his dog Mike steps in.  The witty banter and quirks are worth reading the book for, if only just for that factor alone!

A Pizza My Heart is a sweet, comedic romance that'll have you craving pizza and remembering your first crush. Filled with plenty of laughter and great moments, this is a book that'll let you escape from your worries.

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

Summary:
Most people would probably be embarrassed to land themselves back in their hometown and working at a pizzeria after an ugly divorce.

Not me.

It's home, and I have one last shot to make Wren Daniels see me as more than just her brother's best friend.

When the opportunity to show her what's been right in front of her this whole time presents itself, I take it, holding nothing back this time.

Wren thinks we're pretending, but there's nothing fake about the way I feel.

After all, she's always had...a pizza my heart.
