The Friendship List by Susan Mallery

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

This story will inspire you! The Friendship List is a captivating story of two people that choose to start living their lives again after love and loss.

This book put all of my emotions through the ringer, between tears of sorrow and laughter, my heart is inspired by these stories.

Ellen has basically put her entire life on hold to raise her son since she was a teenager, and she's determined to show him that she can have a life of her own if he goes away to college.

Unity on the other hand...her story is so heart-breaking -- being a widow at such a young age, never believing she can achieve any of her life goals now that she's alone...I was torn between wanting to hug her or shake some life back into her.

This is a book that will inspire you to take chances, pursue your dreams, and live your life to the fullest. For that, I will be forever grateful to Susan Mallery.

SUMMARY:

Two best friends jump-start their lives in a summer that will change them forever...

Single mom Ellen Fox couldn't be more content -- until she overhears her son saying he can't go to his dream college because she needs him too much. If she wants him to live his best life, she has to convince him she's living hers.

So Unity Leandre, her best friend since forever, creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will complete the list, too, but not because she needs to change. What's wrong with a thirtysomething widow still sleeping in her late husband's childhood bed?

The Friendship List begins as a way to make others believe their just fine. But somewhere between "wear three-inch heels" and "have sex with a gorgeous guy," Ellen and Unity discover that life is meant to be lived with joy and abandon, in a story filled with humor, heartache and regrettable tattoos.

Meant to Be Yours by Susan Mallery (Happily Inc. #5)

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Meant to Be Yours will forever have a special place in my heart! As an avid Susan Mallery fan, I can safely boast that this is my favorite book so far!

From the animals, to the quirky mom (that I was a bit unsure of at first, but quickly grew to love her! - thanks to Susan telling me I'd enjoy the character), to the writer that's perpetually up to no good - you can't go wrong with this story.

If you're an animal lover, then be prepared to have all the feels while reading this. I loved Jasper and his take on the wedding craziness. It was also fun to see the process of writing a book from the authors POV, especially while trying to write the opposite gender.

This is a must-read, and I'll be buying the audio book as soon as it's available. LOVED it! Plus, you get to see Millie the giraffe!

Why Not Tonight by Susan Mallery (Happily Inc #3)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Why Not Tonight is a quick-paced romance, showing that opposites DO attract! Natalie Kaleta is dedicated to her job at the art galley, so when nobody can get a hold of artist Ronan Mitchell, she goes out in a storm to make sure he's okay. Her car ends up getting totaled, leaving her stranded overnight with the antisocial man.

Sparks fly between the two, but Ronan doesn't want Natalie to feel taken advantage of, so it's put on the back burner...for now. Romance then blooms between the two, but Natalie is actively seeking someone to give her a family, while Ronan can't open himself to be hurt by anyone, especially after a family secret is revealed.

I absolutely LOVED the depth of these characters and the journey they go on to find what they really want in life. Susan Mallery knows just how to reel the reader into the story and make your heart burst!
