Can't Help Falling in Love by Samantha Chase (Magnolia Sound #5)

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

This book is on fire! Can't Help Falling in Love has plenty of swoon-worthy moments, tug at your heart scenes with a certain little boy, and plenty of romance to make your heart melt.

Prepare yourself to dive into Hunter and Violet's story - one where they definitely come from opposite sides of life. Hunter wants to put down roots and provide a stable life for his son, while Violet loves to travel the world and see new things.

I always love revisiting the citizens of Magnolia Sound! This definitely starts out as a slow burn romance, but there's more behind each of their stories than meets the eye. I jumped in with both feet and loved the ride. The true star of this book is Hunter's son Eli, he's a little ladies man in the making!

πŸ’‹ Romance

SUMMARY:

Hunter Jones never thought that shared custody would be part of his life, but it's the only way to make sure his son still has both parents in his life. But when his ex's increasing unpredictability leads to a missed day care pick up, he's not so sure shared custody is the best option anymore. Never mind that he's now the one being accused of bad parenting by a total stranger.

Violet Drake has zero patience for poor parenting. There's nothing that angers her more than seeing parents behave in the same irresponsible way her own parents did throughout her childhood. But after going off on a perfect stranger late to pick up his son, her conscience gets the best of her and she realizes she may have been a little harsh.

Violet is only supposed to be in Magnolia Sound for a short time to help out her best friend, so getting involved with a single dad is the absolute last thing she should be doing.

Their timing is all kinds of wrong, but sometimes you just can't help yourself.

Nobody But You by Megan Green

🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Nobody But You is a wonderful second chance romance! Prepare yourself to not be able to put this book down if you're a fan of:

*Second Chance Romance
*Hot Single Dad
*Firefighter
*Animal Rescue

Mason Cooper is just trying to provide the best life for his little girl after his wife walked out of their lives. He can't say no to her, but when an abused dog crosses their path, it brings more than one complication to his life.

Maddy Woods was hurt by the one person she allowed herself to get close to in high school, so she did what was best for her, left town to attend college and didn't look back. Now Mason is back and she's forced to deal with her blast from the past.

This irresistible story will have you falling for a dog named Hope, an adorable little girl named Hannah, all while waiting for the story of what happened in the past to surface.

So much goodness in one book, Mason and Maddy are the perfect examples of fire and ice, and their chemistry is explosive! This was my first read by Megan Green and I'll follow her anywhere after reading this.

🐾 Animal Rescue

πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:

Former firefighter Mason Cooper knows how it feels to be burned, both by life and by flame.

When a stray dog lands him in the office of the new local vet, Mason come face to face with a major complication. Because the new vet in town is none other than his childhood friend, Madeline Woods, the same girl who up and left him without a trace.

Gorgeous, smart, and thoughtful - the more time Mason spends with Maddy, the more he finds himself questioning whether she's the thing he and his daughter have been missing all along.

But being with Maddy is like playing with fire, and while a little heat might be nice, can he trust her not to burn them both?

Misadventures with a Firefighter by Julie Morgan (Misadventures Series #27)

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Misadventures with a Firefighter will keep you warm this winter! With plenty of heat and chemistry, this book is a fast-paced romance that'll make you want to dial 9-1-1.

Cara Murphy is career focused and guards her heart, but when her path crosses with a man she can't seem to resist, will she put all her hard work at risk to pursue him?

Noah Hughes has skeletons in his closet, but he can't say no to the one woman he shouldn't want, no matter how hard he tries.

The heat between Cara and Noah is so hot, I'm surprised my paperback didn't go up in flames! A steamy standalone that was more than I expected, and is perfect for those that love a man in uniform.

πŸ”₯ Steamy Romance

Summary:

Cara Murphy is a New York City kindergarten teacher with a bright future and tenure on the horizon, and she won't let anything -- any man -- distract her. She's had her heart broken before, and she won't make that mistake twice. She's got her career to focus on, and being single has many, many advantages.

Noah Hughes is a firefighter with a charred heart who heats up every room he enters, but he lives solely for the happiness of his five-year-old son. When he crosses paths with Cara at a club, sparks fly, and they share a hot night of passion. But that flame is quickly doused during a surprise second encounter.

Continuing to see each other would truly be playing with fire, but Cara and Noah can't stop. Still, Cara's career is in jeopardy, and Noah's heart is locked in guilt. Is there really a chance they could build a love that forever burns bright?

Kiss Me Tonight by Emma Hart (Kiss Me #2)

πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹

Kiss Me Tonight should NOT be read while eating or drinking! Emma Hart is one of my favorite go-to authors, when I want a non-filtered, guaranteed laugh fest.

The story is written so that you can perfectly imagine what Reagan is going through, and she'll have you laughing through tears right along with her.

The banter between Reagan and Noah is refreshingly uncensored, and they both give as good as they get. At one point, I had to stop reading, so I could pull myself together. (I'm just glad I wasn't in public.)

The secondary characters in this story are just as entertaining, if not more so, and you'll find yourself escaping all the worries and cares of your every day life, and fully immersing into this unfolding disaster, one page at a time.

I absolutely loved this story and am counting down the days until the next book in the series releases. This is a must-read, especially if you love a good RomCom!

πŸ˜‚ Comedy
πŸ™‰ Dirty Talk
πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:
What do a wrong number text, a burning building, and a quirky florist have in common? A hunky firefighter with an extra-large...hosepipe.

In hindsight, I never should have opened that text message. The last thing I needed first thing on a Monday was a picture of some stranger's, um, eggplant, in my inbox.

I also should have replaced the batteries in my fire alarm, because my Friday night did not need to end with my apartment building going up in flames.

But it's fine. It's fine. Everything is fine.

I'm only lying in a hospital bed with more split ends than I've ever had, almost all my Earthly possessions have turned to ash, and apparently, they don't serve wine to patients in this place.

But like I said, it's fine.

Until he walks in.

The guy who saved my life. My hero. Noah Jacobs.

And the universe is amusing itself at my expense, because the dirty photo I woke up to on Monday? It's his.

Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Things You Save in a Fire is a beautifully poignant read that no one should miss! Katherine Center is a new-to-me author that I'm kicking myself for not discovering sooner.

This book focuses on Cassie Hanwell and her love of firefighting. She has a past full of tragedy that she's never discussed with anyone, which has also kept her from dating as well.

Despite everything, she's determined to be the best firefighter she can be, so when that chance is threatened after an encounter with her past, Cassie must transfer stations and start all over.

The timing is perfect, as her mother calls with a desperate plea for her help. Their estranged relationship is awkward, mainly due to poor communication and resentment. When certain things come to light, it puts the past and present in a whole new perspective.

Still reeling from life changing news, Cassie must also deal with a stalker who wants her out of the firehouse and possibly dead. She also has growing feelings for the rookie, which is not only against the rules, but something Cassie never thought she'd be able to feel after her past.

Throughout the book, you get to experience her personal growth during the many trials she faces. I found myself glued to each page - demanding answers, justice, and closure.

This is definitely one that I'm immediately adding to my bookshelf and recommending to anyone that'll listen! I can't wait to dive into How to Walk Away after finishing this phenomenal book.

 πŸ’§ Drama
πŸ”Ž Mystery
πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:
Cassie Hanwell was born for emergencies. As one of the only female firefighters in her Texas firehouse, she's seen her fair share of them, and she's excellent at dealing with other people's tragedies. But when her estranged and ailing mother asks her to uproot her life and move to Boston, it's an emergency of a kind Cassie never anticipated.

The tough, old-school Boston firehouse is as different from Cassie's old job as it could possibly be. Hazing, a lack of funding, and poor facilities mean that the firemen aren't exactly thrilled to have a "lady" on the crew, even one as competent and smart as Cassie. Except for the handsome rookie, who doesn't seem to mind having Cassie around. But she can't think about that. Because she doesn't fall in love. And because of the advice her old captain gave her: don't date firefighters. Cassie can feel her resolve slipping...but will she jeopardize her place in career where she's worked so hard to be taken seriously?

The Best Friend Problem by Mariah Ankenman

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

The Best Friend Problem is a delightful, light-hearted romance. You'll be drawn in from the first page and won't be able to put it down until the end.

Prudence has amazing friends, including a super hot firefighter male bestie. Too bad her dating history is less than stellar and filled with duds, so that's when she decides to take matters into her own hands...

I was super jealous of her relationship with Finn throughout the story, as I wish there were more guys out there like him! Pru is fiercely independent and has a plan for everything, so watching it all go up in smoke was highly entertaining.

This story is filled with romance, laughter and a touch of drama. My first read by Mariah Ankenman, but definitely not my last! (Although we really need to talk about the pregnancy cravings she created for Pru!)

 πŸ’§ Drama
πŸ‘Ά Pregnancy

Summary:
Prudence Carlson has been lucky in life. A fulfilling wedding-planning business run with her girlfriends in Colorado, plus the best guy friend ever in her firefighter bestie Finn. All that's missing from it is a baby. Luckily, it's the twenty-first century - Pru can take matters into her own hands. She doesn't need to find true love to create the future love of her life.

Except all this talk of babies and insemination and...Pru and Finn cross a line they never expected to. Sure, one night of passion won't change their close relationship. Until Pru goes in for a fertility check-up to find...she's already pregnant.

As best friends, Pru and Finn have survived college, new jobs, and bad breakups, but can they survive crib shopping, birth classes, and late-night cravings? Especially when Finn has never considered himself even remotely Daddy material?

One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

A fake relationship that'll spark real emotions in your heart! From the flashback at the beginning that introduces you to Adam and Hollis, you'll be immediately drawn in to their journey.

Adam lives for music, but watching him step up and help provide for his younger sister after their Grandmas health declines, will have you swooning. #Claimed

Hollis just wants to help others, but right when she's about to get her inheritance and start living the life she's dreamed about, her parents make new stipulations...thanks to her lie about having a love interest.

The second best part of the story are the best friends! Tori and Navy are the perfect sidekicks for Hollis, and Keane is a dream!

One Little Lie contains a fake relationship, enemies to lovers and second chances...I'm in the ultimate trope heaven and highly suggest this to any romance lover!

Summary:
Adam Olive hated me. Loathed my very existence. He had every right to, but that didn't make my life any easier the afternoon I had to rescue him on the side of the road.

But worse than rescuing a guy who hated me to his core, was the lie I told my parents.

Because I'd just told them that my long-term boyfriend was finally back in town.

My long-term boyfriend who didn't actually exist.

The one named Adam Oliver - the guy I'd crushed on all through high school.

So the real Adam had no idea that he and I were engaged in a years-long, committed, serious relationship.

And, somehow, some way, I needed to convince him to play along with my one little lie.

Ash by Irish Winters (Hearts and Ashes - Book 2)

The story starts off with Ash Callahan losing everything he holds dear, ironically, when his dreams go up in flames. The minute Colby Quaid comes roaring back into his life, he’s reminded of the heartache he once suffered at her hands, and is determined to fight the attraction between them that only grows stronger.

With Ash trying to discover the identity of a serial arsonist, and Colby deciding the fate of her family’s company, they must lean on each other for support and strength. This story has many ups and downs, keeps you on your toes, and will have you guessing until the end. It’s not your typical second-chance story, yet another great addition to the new Hearts and Ashes series by Irish Winters.
