Ready or Not by Elizabeth Hayley (The Love Game #4)

❤❤❤❤❤

A wonderful addition to The Love Game series! Ready or Not is a book you won't be able to put down until the very end, and even then you'll want to binge-read the series all over again.

Taylor is running from her stalker ex and is determined to be independent, while watching for the signs she missed in him, in those around her. When she finally lets her guard down enough to let someone in, she has to fight the urge to push him away.

Ransom will win your heart, even with his secrets, you can't deny his generous heart, especially with youth. He genuinely cares for Taylor and will make you swoon with each page.

Elizabeth Hayley is an amazing writing duo that knows just how to draw the reader in with entertaining characters, and just a hint of suspense. You'll definitely be coming back for more!

Dare To Tempt by Carly Phillips (Dare Nation #2)

❤❤❤❤❤

A sports romance that will keep you guessing! Dare To Tempt will captivate you from the start. As usual, having the extended Dare family you've come to love throughout both series, making several appearances throughout the story, is worth the read just for that alone.

Whether it's guessing who's trying to sabotage Damon's career or waiting to see what Evie's psycho ex will do next, I guarantee you won't be able to stop reading until the last page.

While it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading them in order so you can appreciate the characters even more. I've loved this series so much and they just get better with each book!

 πŸ’§ Drama
πŸ’‹ Romance

SUMMARY:

He's a smooth talking jock in trouble.
She's the solution to his problems.
Love is the last thing they expected to find.

Damon Prescott had it all. Star quarterback. Money. Fame. Now? He's being accused of taking performance enhancing drugs and banned from the sport and team he loves.

Determined to prove he's innocent, he hires tough as nails private investigator, Evie Wolfe. She's able to bring a man to his knees with a glare, yet sensual in ways that take him off guard -- and she's everything Damon didn't know he needed.

Evie's used to men dismissing her, especially playboys like Damon Prescott so she's not buying the sexual lines he's trying to sell. She's with him to do a job, nothing more. But you know what they say about the best laid plans? Sometimes you end up between the sheets with an arrogant football player anyway.

But when the case is over, can Damon convince Evie she's the only woman for him or will she leave him tied up in love?

Mason thinks he has Remi pegged as a Princess from the moment he meets her, but quickly realizes that it's just a facade. While fighting his attraction for her, he must try to find out who's behind the threats, and put them to a stop before it's too late.

This Is Love is the second book in the Harmony Pointe series and I loved every single page! If you're looking for a book with romance, comedy, drama and suspense - this is the book you don't want to miss!

Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Things You Save in a Fire is a beautifully poignant read that no one should miss! Katherine Center is a new-to-me author that I'm kicking myself for not discovering sooner.

This book focuses on Cassie Hanwell and her love of firefighting. She has a past full of tragedy that she's never discussed with anyone, which has also kept her from dating as well.

Despite everything, she's determined to be the best firefighter she can be, so when that chance is threatened after an encounter with her past, Cassie must transfer stations and start all over.

The timing is perfect, as her mother calls with a desperate plea for her help. Their estranged relationship is awkward, mainly due to poor communication and resentment. When certain things come to light, it puts the past and present in a whole new perspective.

Still reeling from life changing news, Cassie must also deal with a stalker who wants her out of the firehouse and possibly dead. She also has growing feelings for the rookie, which is not only against the rules, but something Cassie never thought she'd be able to feel after her past.

Throughout the book, you get to experience her personal growth during the many trials she faces. I found myself glued to each page - demanding answers, justice, and closure.

This is definitely one that I'm immediately adding to my bookshelf and recommending to anyone that'll listen! I can't wait to dive into How to Walk Away after finishing this phenomenal book.

πŸ”Ž Mystery
πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:
Cassie Hanwell was born for emergencies. As one of the only female firefighters in her Texas firehouse, she's seen her fair share of them, and she's excellent at dealing with other people's tragedies. But when her estranged and ailing mother asks her to uproot her life and move to Boston, it's an emergency of a kind Cassie never anticipated.

The tough, old-school Boston firehouse is as different from Cassie's old job as it could possibly be. Hazing, a lack of funding, and poor facilities mean that the firemen aren't exactly thrilled to have a "lady" on the crew, even one as competent and smart as Cassie. Except for the handsome rookie, who doesn't seem to mind having Cassie around. But she can't think about that. Because she doesn't fall in love. And because of the advice her old captain gave her: don't date firefighters. Cassie can feel her resolve slipping...but will she jeopardize her place in career where she's worked so hard to be taken seriously?

No Longer Lost by Angel Payne & Victoria Blue (Secrets of Stone #9)

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

The perfect follow-up to No White Knight (which is Book #8 in the series), so you should definitely read that book first for the complete Mac & Taylor experience and history.

No Longer Lost is my favorite book in the Secrets of Stone series so far, even though I feel that way every time a new one is released, it's because it's hard to believe they can get even better.

Trying to decide on taking a chance and risking your heart after having it crushed by being given an ultimatum, or living your life, while trying to forget about how happy you were with someone.

The stalker situation was more suspenseful than I expected, mostly due to the fact that you find out who it is pretty early on in the story. The creep factor was at an all-time high, and keeps the reader turning each page to find out what's going to happen next.

Summary:
Lost...

Lovesick has never been in my vocabulary, but now that Maclain Stone has entered my world, I'm practically dying of heartache. And there's nobody to blame but myself. But his brushoff has made me never want to see his sexy, smug face again. When a stalker forces me from my home and lands me on Mac's front door - and into the warmth of his - I can't avoid the truth any longer. I'm in love with him. I need him. I'm lost without him...

Found...

What the hell was I thinking, falling in love with a stubborn spitfire like Taylor Mathews? For the first time in my life, a woman is driving me insane with need. If I can win her back, I vow to never let her out of my sight again.

Though it takes the threat of a maniac to drive her into my arms, I'm not letting opportunity pass me by, and everyone needs to learn this woman is mine - especially the woman herself. Without each other, we're nothing. But together...

We're no longer lost.
