If This Was A Movie by Morgan Elizabeth (Evergreen Park #2)

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

4.5 stars - A delightful holiday romance!

I will definitely be listening to this one again once it's closer to the holidays. It was a great reminder of how much I love reading Christmas stories in the Summertime. It was a fairy tale come to life, with magical moments swirled around some of my favorite tropes:

** Forced Proximity
** One Night Stand
** Single Dad x Nanny

A second chance in a small town, with the help of meddling family and friends. This is my favorite miscommunication book, which says a lot since I usually avoid them, but it was a brief part of the beginning, so you're fully able to drive into their story. Sophie is the absolute cutest little girl, full of wonder and innocence, making it easy to fall in love with her.

Beautifully narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York, I found myself enamored with the characters, not wanting the audiobook to end. A terrific read for the holidays, or any time of the year!

The Best of All by Karla Sorensen (The Best Men #2)

🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆

I don't have the words to express how much I loved this book!

Watching Liam and Zoe navigate raising their best friends child will pull at your heart strings. Every moment Mira is on page, I couldn't help the smile on my face.

My favorite part is hearing Liam call her "Duck", and all the shenanigans they get up to revolving around that animal.

This is definitely one audio that I'll be listening to again in the future and it has the slowest burn, but it was so worth the wait knowing that he fell first.

** Enemies to Lovers
** Forced Proximity
** Grumpy x Sunshine
** He Falls First
** Slow Burn

The audio is available for free in Kindle Unlimited, so I highly recommend going that route if possible. Shane East brings Liam to life with his accent and I was drawn into the story immediately.

A Brush with Love by Mazey Eddings

🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷

My favorite book of 2022! I'm honestly still in shock this is the DEBUT release from Mazey Eddings, and can't wait to see what else she has in store for readers in the future.

As someone with severe dental anxiety, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book, but it has everything I love and a few points that hit close to home for me, so I easily devoured the audiobook in one sitting.

With multiple POV's, you get to see the story unfold from both Dan and Harper, which is even more entertaining since they each have their very own opinionated views on dentistry and falling in love (distractions.)

From start to finish, I wasn't able to stop listening to this beautifully written tale, and one of the best parts was the friends who go to endless lengths to try and bring them together. Just their shenanigans alone are worth reading this book for, along with:

**Anxiety Rep
**Cinnamon Roll Hero
**Debut Author
**Dental Students
**Meddling Friends
**Slow Burn

SUMMARY:

Harper is anxiously awaiting placement into a top oral surgery residency program when she crashes (literally) into Dan. Harper would rather endure a Novocaine-free root canal than face any distractions, even one this adorable.

A first-year dental student with a family legacy to contend with, Dan doesn't have the same passion for pulling teeth that Harper does. Though he finds himself falling for her, he is willing to play by Harper's rules.

So with the greatest of intentions and the poorest of follow-throughs, the two set out to be "just friends." But as they get to know each other better, Harper fears that trading fillings for feelings may make her lose control and can't risk her carefully ordered life coming undone, no matter how drool-worthy Dan is.

Blood, gore and extra-long roots? No problem. The idea of falling in love? Torture.

False Start by Casey Hagen (Beautifully Brutal #1)

💛💛💛💛💛

Rollin' in with a new series like a boss! False Start makes my roller derby loving heart SO happy. It has the perfect mix of derby action, romance, humor, and drama.

Cain "Priest" Bishop is only back in town to help his pregnant sister out until her husband can come home. With spiteful gossip and having to face past mistakes, Cain can't leave town soon enough - until he meets Maisy.

Maisy "Mayhem" Flynn is tough as nails, but when it comes to her roller derby team, she'll do anything to help them succeed, even if it means recruiting help from someone with a sketchy past.

This sports romance was everything I was hoping it'd be and more. I loved the unending witty banter between Cain and Maisy, the family dynamic with his sister will win you over immediately, and the derby action made me feel like I was at a live bout. A slow burn that will have you cheering, counting down until Hip Whip releases!

Needing You Close by Kennedy Fox (Ex-Con Duet Series #2)

❤❤❤❤❤

The breathless conclusion to a gripping duet! Needing You Close was worth the wait, but man is my head still spinning from the wild ride the authors take you on.

**If you haven't read Keeping You Away - STOP NOW, go read it and then you're good to binge this one too.

Tyler...I don't even know where to begin with him, he's gone through so much and the one person he wants to be with is finally back within reach, but all that is shattered just as quickly as it started.

Gemma's whole world revolves around her family and there isn't anything she wouldn't do to preserve the memory of her mother, or protect her father. Blackmail is an ugly weapon, and not often one you can find a way of escaping from.

I had actual chest pains while reading this book and I have to admit, I doubted a happily ever after from one of my favorite author duos for a few chapters (that felt like hours!)...so prepare your heart for some seriously crazy plot twists!

 ðŸ’§ Drama
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

I never expected to see my first love again after he left me twelve years ago. Though I've moved on, working with Tyler is no easy task -- especially when he focuses his bedroom eyes on me. Flirting with the past is like playing with fire, and considering I'm engaged, I'm bound to get burned.

When the man I promised to marry reveals he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, I run to the safety of Tyler's strong arms. As we grow closer, so do our feelings. Threats and ultimatums are made, and the revelation of the truth is enough to bring me to my knees. I'll do whatever it takes to protect my family, even if it means shredding my heart.

Too dangerous, too unpredictable, too risky to handle alone -- we need each other now more than ever.

After our world nearly collapses, there's nothing left to do but take it back. Tyler and I team up to destroy the people who are determined to ruin our second chance at a happily ever after. Though our love is undeniable, I just hope it's enough. We'll fight until the end to be together -- regardless of who tries to get in our way.

Can't Help Falling in Love by Samantha Chase (Magnolia Sound #5)

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book is on fire! Can't Help Falling in Love has plenty of swoon-worthy moments, tug at your heart scenes with a certain little boy, and plenty of romance to make your heart melt.

Prepare yourself to dive into Hunter and Violet's story - one where they definitely come from opposite sides of life. Hunter wants to put down roots and provide a stable life for his son, while Violet loves to travel the world and see new things.

I always love revisiting the citizens of Magnolia Sound! This definitely starts out as a slow burn romance, but there's more behind each of their stories than meets the eye. I jumped in with both feet and loved the ride. The true star of this book is Hunter's son Eli, he's a little ladies man in the making!

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Hunter Jones never thought that shared custody would be part of his life, but it's the only way to make sure his son still has both parents in his life. But when his ex's increasing unpredictability leads to a missed day care pick up, he's not so sure shared custody is the best option anymore. Never mind that he's now the one being accused of bad parenting by a total stranger.

Violet Drake has zero patience for poor parenting. There's nothing that angers her more than seeing parents behave in the same irresponsible way her own parents did throughout her childhood. But after going off on a perfect stranger late to pick up his son, her conscience gets the best of her and she realizes she may have been a little harsh.

Violet is only supposed to be in Magnolia Sound for a short time to help out her best friend, so getting involved with a single dad is the absolute last thing she should be doing.

Their timing is all kinds of wrong, but sometimes you just can't help yourself.
