Southern Heart by Natasha Madison (Southern #5)

❤❤👀❤❤

This romantic suspense will leave you breathless! Southern Heart will have you sitting on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Chelsea returns home after getting her nursing degree, but her world is turned on it's axis when the man she's secretly had a crush on shows up bloodied and literally on deaths door.

Mayson is a genuinely good man and just wants to live his life away from his abusive father and a past he can't seem to escape. He changed his name, and found a family he can depend on in the military, but when his past catches up with him, nobody is safe...

I was not emotionally prepared for this book, but loved every moment of it. Knowing that imminent danger lurks just around the corner kept me captivated and unable to put the book down until I finished...only to be left counting down the days until Southern Heat releases!!!

SUMMARY:

Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.

Chelsea
Coming back home was supposed to be normal. Not that my life had ever been normal, but it was getting there. Then I opened the door and found a man -- broken, bloodied, and fighting for his life. I don't know why, but I said I would take care of him. I had to. Needed to. He was a mystery, showing up from out of nowhere. But he might have already stolen my heart.

Mayson Carey
The only thing I have ever wanted in my entire life was to forget who I was. Joining the military helped me do this. Keep your head down and glide through life was my new motto. No strings, no relationships. Nothing. Everything was working until a knock at the door had me face-to-face with the reason I was running. So I ran -- I fell into her arms, and she fell into my heart, but I know better than to think it'll last. Some secrets have a way of coming back and haunting us, no matter how much we try to bury them.

A Slice of Love by Teagan Hunter (Slice #4)

🍕🍕🍕🍕

A Slice of Love is comfort food for your soul! A charming second chance romance that will have you craving that perfect pizza while reading Jonas and Frankie's story.

Jonas is the boy everyone adored, heading for a career in football, he neglects to pursue the one thing in his life that makes him happy, his crush on Frank.

Frankie (Frank) gave her heart to Jonas once and she's determined not to let him back in, only to have it broken once more. As he rehabs his sports injury, old feelings spark back to life for her, but can they really rekindle what they once had?

A quick read that will leave you smiling and thinking of that special someone you used to exchange secret notes with. Filled with laughter and witty banter, I highly enjoyed this low drama romance.

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Jonas Schwartz isn't just good at playing football. He's also good at playing hearts, and four years ago, he played mine like it was the easiest game of his life.

Brokenhearted, I ran off to art school, swearing to forget about my one-off secret weekend with the star quarterback.

I'd heard whispers about his injury, but I never expected Jonas to return to our hometown to rehab his knee, and I certainly never thought he'd show up on the other side of my door with a pizza in hand.

He looks good. Better than before.

Whatever -- I'm over him. I've completely moved on.

I just wish my heart would get the memo...

The Trade by Meghan Quinn

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Trade is a home-run in my book! If you're looking for a good slow burn sports romance, this is the one for you. The characters are witty, funny and will have you reading until you forget there's a real world that probably needs your attention, lol.

I enjoy watching unrequited crushes finally realizing that they can pursue the one that's captivated their attention, especially when family and friends interfere with the best of intentions.

I've been counting down to finally getting Cory's story ever since The Dugout, this book was everything I was hoping for and more. A great friends to lovers romance that will have you wanting to binge-read the entire series all over again.

Meghan Quinn is the queen of sports romance and knows how to perfectly weave a story that will draw you in, falling for characters and rooting for their happy endings!

⚾ Sports Romance

Summary:

Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?

I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.

I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.

Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.

Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.

I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she's perfect.

I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn't get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.

So what's the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can't stop crushing on, yeah...she's married.

At least, that's what I was told...

The Lineup by Meghan Quinn (Brentwood Baseball #3)

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Lineup is entertaining from start to finish! Filled with miscommunications, secrets and crushes - this story is one you don't want to miss.

Dottie is a workaholic, who only wants to make her Dad proud, especially after the last relationship she had ended in disaster, both personally and almost professionally.

She's harbored a secret crush on Jason Orson since they were in college together, and her friends jump on the opportunity of a charity auction to win a date with him.

When an outrageous amount of money is bid to Jason's charity, he's determined to find out who would pay that much, and why they'd cancel the date they rightfully won.

Determined to keep her distance and her heart safe, Dottie puts up a cold front and does everything to stay away from him...too bad it only spurs Jason to find out what he did to offend her.

The dynamics between Dottie and Jason are like fire and ice, leaving you wanting more with every page. Jason is such a tender-hearted character, alpha behind doors, and unfiltered with his friends.

With an enemies-to-lovers vibe, The Lineup will have you swooning, smiling, with a bit of a heart attack thrown in as well. This is in my top three favorite books from Meghan Quinn and I can't wait to read it again!

Summary:

Want to know a secret?

It's about that girl over there. Don't look, but she's the one in the power suit -- with the long, black hair and the serious expression, the one I'm about to go on a date with...

Yeah, according to her, she "accidentally" donated an obscene amount of money to my charity -- The Lineup -- to win said date, but I found out the truth. Miss Button Up Blouse has a secret, passionate crush on me.

I didn't know her name until two days ago, despite the friends we have in common.

Was I oblivious? Probably.
Was I blind to it? Definitely.

But I'm no fool, I see it now. The High Heel Harlot wants more than just a date with Jason Orson, she wants to be able to claim the best butt in baseball as hers.

Here's another secret...she has no idea I know.

His Royal Highness by R.S. Grey

👑👑👑👑👑

His Royal Highness will have you believing in fairy tales again! This outrageously funny story, takes place behind the scenes of a theme park.

Derek Knightley is the guy every girl crushed on, but was older, and way out of our league. The moment he came back into the story, I knew I wouldn't be able to stop reading until I had a happy ending.

Whitney Atwood loves playing the Princess that little girls can look up to, but she's always had an unrequited crush on the owners grandson.

From the witty and snarky secondary characters, to minimal family drama from both sides, this book will have you laughing both happy and sad tears.

As a former Cast Member, I appreciate the authenticity in which the author clearly put into writing this story. It brought back some great memories, and painted a clear picture, enabling the fairy tale to truly come to life.

I highly recommend this book and will definitely be buying the audio version as well. I'd give it more than five stars if I could! A beautiful tale of following your dreams and listening to your heart.

😂 Comedy
💋 Romance

Synopsis:

I've spent eight years wishing I'd fall out of love with Derek Knightley. Blowing out birthday candles, chasing after shooting stars, making it rain spare change into mall fountains -- every time it's the same wish: forget about Derek.

But the day he walks back into my life, I realize there are two things time has yet to soften: my feeling for him and his chiseled jawline.

It's infuriating that my heart still races when he walks into a room. I refuse to fall prey to old unrequited love, so I decide the less I'm around him, the better. Avoidance is key.

Unfortunately, Derek isn't going to make it easy. As a teenager, I would have crawled on my hands and knees to attract his attention. Now I can't seem to escape it.

I'm not sure why he's bothering. He's not just out of my league -- he's out of my tax bracket. As the sole heir to the Knightley Company, he's as close to American royalty as you can get. As for me, I'm just a part-time princess at Knightley's flagship magical theme park.

I spend my days playing make-believe, but Derek has no use for fairytales. His unwavering confidence makes it clear he thinks I'll surrender in the end.

He's just biding his time. Making me sweat.

His Royal Highness always gets what he wants. And he wants me.
