Since You've Been Gone by Samantha Chase (Magnolia Sound #8)

🐾🐾🐾🐾

Best friends and rescue animals = sold! Since You've Been Gone is a story of coming home and following your heart.

While coming home for the weekend seemed like a good escape from the recent fame he's gained on social media, Garrett is forced to face the only woman he's ever loved.

Emma has a lot on her plate, so when her childhood best friend comes back to visit, she's left reeling from what her life could've been.

The genuine friendship between Emma and Garrett is so heart-warming, especially his bond with the rest of her family. The animal rescue aspect will tug at your heart, and I loved the entire story! Magnolia Sound is a town I'd love to live in.

πŸ’‹ Romance

SUMMARY:

Emmaline Ryan has always been the smart, shy girl who plays it safe. But all that's gotten her is a divorce and a mountain of debt to pay off courtesy of her ex-husband. Needless to say, she's stopped believing in miracles and fairy tales a long time ago. Except now she's in desperate need of one of those miracles if she wants to save her family's animal rescue. Emmaline knows just where to go for help, but that means putting her faith in the hands of the man who once broke her heart without even realizing it.

Garrett Coleman met the girl of his dreams when he was just eight years old -- only, he never told her. But that was years ago. Now, Garrett has become a reluctant social media star -- the shirtless #HotDoc and #SexyVet who saves scared and helpless animals. Sure, it's been great for business, but he'd give anything for people to see the real him, preferably with a shirt on. When a visit home to Magnolia Sound has him running into the shy girl he left behind, he sees his chance at the future he never thought he deserved.

Unfortunately, he's not the only one back in town, and wooing Emmaline just became a lot more complicated. A lot has changed since he's been gone and Garrett is going to have to prove that he's up to the challenge. Emmaline might still be the sweet and quiet girl he left behind, but he's not sure she's willing to wait.

Bossing the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox (Circle B Ranch #4)

πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

All the emotions with this one! Bossing the Cowboy is a slow-burn workplace romance that will give you all the feels.

Elle can't stand her boss, but she also can't stop her heart from wanting what it can't have. All through her internship she tries to make Connor proud, but nothing can break through his walls.

Connor's ex is a piece of work, especially when it comes to their daughter. When things start to escalate and his daughters safety is in jeopardy, he's forced to fight for what he wants in life.

I'm a sucker for a single dad, but when they work with animals, I'm a goner. This had me laughing, smiling at the sass, and I even shed a few tears (you will too!) This owned my heart and I devoured it in one sitting!

πŸ’‹ Romance

SUMMARY:

After surviving a messy divorce and custody battle, Dr. Connor Wallen quickly became married to his job. Helping animals is the perfect distraction from his crazy ex, but he finds it difficult to concentrate when an attractive woman joins his veterinary clinic. Getting involved with someone who works for him would only lead to disaster, so staying professional is key.

He tries to ignore her, but their chemistry is undeniable.

Elizabeth Bishop can't stand her boss or how he treats her, but there aren't many job options in small-town Texas. No matter what she does, it's never good enough for Connor, but she continues trying to impress him anyway.

She'll never admit she's attracted to him and denies it every chance she gets.

Avoiding him is impossible, but Elle keeps her distance whenever possible. After his walls start to crumble, she knows her feelings aren't one-sided. She's tired of playing his games and is ready to prove who's really in control.

Although he pushes her away, she's determined to pull him closer -- showing him exactly what they've both been missing.

**Bossing the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson

πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Family is what the holidays are all about! Home for the Holidays is a truly beautiful story about three sisters, struggling with their own personal problems, but brought together again by their aunt.

This book has it all: divorce, infertility, family expectations, drama, comedy, romance, etc. My heart was pulled in so many directions and I didn't want to put the book down once I started reading.

Each of the sisters will draw you in and make you become full invested in their struggle. The characters are so well-written, it's almost as though you're visiting old friends back home.

If you're looking for the perfect book to curl up with - grab your cup of cocoa and a comfy blanket, cuz this is the perfect book to get you in the holiday spirit.

I'll definitely be reading this again closer to Christmas, but I can't recommend it enough. I still smile just thinking about the Buchanan sisters. This is a must-read for any time of year!

SUMMARY:

The Buchanan sisters all share special childhood memories of their Aunt Sassy's beloved Juniper Inn. There, they frolicked in the snow, baked sugar cookies, and celebrated the town's annual Christmas extravaganza. They haven't been back to Colorado in nearly fifteen years, but when their aunt invites them for one last Christmas, they can't say no...

With her ex-husband whisking her children away for the holiday, Dahlia decides it's time to do something for herself. Juniper Springs is just as beautiful as she remembers, but it's also full of surprises -- including the town's handsome doctor, who makes her feel like herself again for the first time in years.

To the outside world, baker Magnolia has the ideal marriage. Only the pain and sorrow of infertility have strained her relationship with her husband, perhaps beyond repair. But a holiday miracle is about to change her life.

After a whirlwind romance, youngest sister Rose is about to be married, but as the wedding draws near, she's unsettled by her fiance's expectations that she become a society wife. Spending Christmas with her family could be a necessary reality check -- or the beginning of a brand-new happily ever after.

Thanks to the strength of their sisterhood, some mistletoe, and the love of their Aunt Sassy, the Buchanan sisters will discover what it is they truly want this Christmas.

The Trade by Meghan Quinn

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Trade is a home-run in my book! If you're looking for a good slow burn sports romance, this is the one for you. The characters are witty, funny and will have you reading until you forget there's a real world that probably needs your attention, lol.

I enjoy watching unrequited crushes finally realizing that they can pursue the one that's captivated their attention, especially when family and friends interfere with the best of intentions.

I've been counting down to finally getting Cory's story ever since The Dugout, this book was everything I was hoping for and more. A great friends to lovers romance that will have you wanting to binge-read the entire series all over again.

Meghan Quinn is the queen of sports romance and knows how to perfectly weave a story that will draw you in, falling for characters and rooting for their happy endings!

Summary:

Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?

I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.

I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.

Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.

Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.

I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she's perfect.

I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn't get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.

So what's the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can't stop crushing on, yeah...she's married.

At least, that's what I was told...

Always Yours by Kennedy Fox (Roommate Duet #6)

❤❤❤❤❤

Always Yours is a perfect conclusion to this series! With plenty of ups and downs, every book in the Roommate series (compiled of 3 separate duets), has been filled with one twist after another, causing readers to have sleepless nights...and we wouldn't have it any other way!

This book picks up after the cliffhanger in Always Mine, so you must read that one first. Kennedy Fox are masters at manipulation, pulling you into one scenario and drawing you in, then just when you think you have things figured out, they twist the story in a way you won't see coming.

All your favorite characters from the previous books make several appearances in this story, so you'll have plenty of sister time. Tyler is also introduced in this duet, so I can't wait to read his story next!

This was my favorite duet out of this series and I'd sacrifice more hours of sleep anytime for these characters. I love trying to figure out how things will pan out, even though KF usually succeeds in stumping me.

Rehearsals, leotards, and textbooks -- that was my life.

Corruption and power are their game and Liam is nothing more than a pawn. Playing by the rules won't end well, but I can't let him fight alone this time.

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny by Piper Rayne (The Baileys #6)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny is about giving love a second chance! This book will have you falling in love with the Bailey family all over again. If only they really existed, I'd move to Alaska in a heartbeat!

Phoenix Bailey is the one in her family that can't seem to do anything right, so when she arranges to become a nanny in order to advance her music career, you know it's going to end up blowing up in her face.

Griffin Thorne has had enough of the fame and wants to focus on his son while he's still young. The last thing he wants is to be in a relationship, let alone with someone who has their sights set on moving to LA and entering the world he just escaped from.

This story was everything I wanted and more! The dynamic between Maverick (who stole my heart) and Phoenix was the highlight of the book for me. The way they connected over similar experiences won me over immediately.

I know Piper Rayne loves to mess with my heart, and this was no different. There are moments when I wanted to message them and threaten bodily harm if I didn't get a happy ending, but I've learned to trust the process.

As usual, you get all the Bailey clan in this one and it's always like attending a family reunion! I love the family dynamics and each book just gets better and better. I can't wait for the next one!

Summary:

When a famous music producer moves to Lake Starlight it can't just be a coincidence. It's the universe helping to move things along in the right direction so that Griffin Thorne can discover me.

I have to confess - I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Confession #1: I may have overheard that he was in search of a nanny. What can I say? My brother has a big mouth.

Confession #2: It's possible I helped along the assumption that I had nanny experience. Hey, babysitting my nieces and nephew counts, right?

Confession #3: There's a good chance I oversold my qualifications. But my Grandma Dori backed me up, so it's not completely my fault.

And it worked. He hired me. Only for me to find out that he left the business. I guess it's on to Plan B.

When he accidentally overhears me singing, I expect nothing from him. Then he asks to work with me on a song for our town's Founder's Day Parade and it feels like a dream come true. Until...

Confession #4: I've fallen for him.

A Pizza My Heart by Teagan Hunter (Slice #1)

πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•

A feel good comedy about second chances and childhood crushes. Foster starts to develop feelings for his best friends twin sister, so he does what anyone else in his position would do...he runs away.

Still reeling from the loss of her best friend, Wren is happy to see Foster come back to his hometown, but a lot has changed since he's been gone. She's still chasing her dreams and overworking herself to help the family business.

After a series of HILARIOUS blind dates, Foster is ready to throw in the towel on dating. When a co-worker suggests that Wren and Foster "pretend date" each other, so he can get unfiltered feedback, all bets are off.

Watching Foster struggle with his feelings for Wren is so tender, especially when his dog Mike steps in.  The witty banter and quirks are worth reading the book for, if only just for that factor alone!

A Pizza My Heart is a sweet, comedic romance that'll have you craving pizza and remembering your first crush. Filled with plenty of laughter and great moments, this is a book that'll let you escape from your worries.

Not me.

It's home, and I have one last shot to make Wren Daniels see me as more than just her brother's best friend.

When the opportunity to show her what's been right in front of her this whole time presents itself, I take it, holding nothing back this time.

Wren thinks we're pretending, but there's nothing fake about the way I feel.

After all, she's always had...a pizza my heart.

Letters to Molly by Devney Perry (Maysen Jar #2)

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

Letters to Molly is a beautifully written story. I'm so glad the author decided to let Molly share her story with the world. It's a perfect example of how important communication is, especially in relationships.

I haven't read The Birthday List yet (patiently waiting on my shelf), but it's next on my list. I don't mind seeing the outcome of the previous book in this story, since my favorite part is watching the couple find their way to each other.

I pre-ordered the paperback before I was even halfway through reading the ARC of Letters to Molly, and I'm so glad I'll have a physical copy to dive into anytime I want to revisit.

The timeline was done perfectly for the plot, and I found myself reading at every chance I could steal a moment. I personally felt a deeper connection to this story, since it involves divorce, but it's left me with a new purpose: to learn from past mistakes and use that knowledge to create a better future.

The Maysen Jar series is an absolute must-read. Be prepared for the occasional twist to be thrown at you that will leave you breathless, and plenty of moments to make you smile.

 πŸ’§ Drama
πŸ’‹ Romance
