The Nanny and the Nerd by Krista Sandor (Nanny Love Match #1)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I'm obsessed with this new series! As soon as I heard the author was creating a new series about nannies, I knew I'd be all in for it.

Rowen Gale is a gamer, creator and uncle, now with custody of his adorable niece Phoebe. He's determined to make his company a success, and knows that he's not wired to have love in his life.

Penny Fennimore is an aspiring writer who takes a chance when her path crosses with a match-making nanny agent. She quickly falls for Phoebe and wants nothing but the best for her.

Rowen is an incredibly hot nerd, that was a wall around his heart. Penny is new to the tech world (she still owns a flip phone), and stumbles across a way to not only help with her own writers block, but assist Rowen with his latest project.

I highly enjoyed the refreshing honesty of Penny's gal pals, and can't wait for each of them to get their own story. I loved everything about this story, but wanted to slap the smile off her mothers face.

This book had me hooked from the start, leaving me craving pizza and chocolate chip cookies. Filled with tender moments, plenty of heat, and witty humor -- this is one you don't want to miss out on, no matter what genre you read!

SUMMARY:

Three things NOT to do when nannying for a video gaming mogul (aka the hottest nerd on the planet):

#1 Do not get lost in his dreamy green eyes.

#2 Do not salivate over his rock-hard abs.

#3 No matter what happens, do not fall for his super-nerdy dirty talk!

Penny Fennimore is not winning at life. An aspiring writer with a monster-sized cased of writer's block, she's got bills to pay and barely a dime to her name.

Enter the exclusive Nanny Match Agency and an opportunity to make bank.

The job: A cushy, live-in nanny position caring for tech billionaire Rowen Gale's six-year-old niece.

The problem?

Her hot nerd of a boss!

They're opposites in every way. He's the king of hi-tech, and she uses a flip phone from 2002. She's not even sure he's 100% human. With his muted expression, the man might as well be one of the robots from his video games until their eyes meet, and the attraction meter explodes.

She's got to put the kibosh on her libido. But the universe doesn't always play nice.

When Mr. Robot-Bedroom-Eyes goes MIA, she marches up to his fancy-pants video gaming company to give him a piece of her mind -- which doesn't go as planned.

Instead, she spies a video game storyboard. It's a hot mess, and she can't help but dive and rewrite it.

Did anyone ask for her opinion? That's a no!

The positive? She's writing!

The negative? Her boss needs her to keep it up. Turns out, this video game requires a complete overhaul, and she's the only one who can give him what he wants.

Now, she's not only caring for his niece. She's with him morning, noon, and night.

And that's where it gets complicated.

When he looks at her, she gets a glimpse of what's behind his hardened veneer. And being with this man feels right, like the forever kind of right.

Her heart is on the line.

Could this nanny match be the match that changes everything, or will it be game over for the nanny and the nerd?

Halftime Husband by Erin McCarthy (Sassy in the City #5)

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Multiple chance encounters you won't forget! Halftime Husband is one "meet cute" after another and can't help falling for Brandon and Dakota through all their silly banter.

The 8 yr old twins, Poppy and Willow, steal every scene they're in. With no animosity, they genuinely bond with Dakota, even after chasing off multiple nannies before her.

A light-hearted, steamy romance that will have you cheering for more.  This is a stand alone and doesn't need to be read in series order.

SUMMARY:

Running into a man once is an accident. Twice is a coincidence. Three times makes it fate...right?

Unless he is now your grumpy boss who holds the future of your fading dance career in his hands. And you hooked up with him when he was just a mysterious stranger rescuing you...

My life is a hot mess. I'm Dakota Tanner and I speak before I think, I spend before I earn, and I live totally in the moment. Which is why I'm down and out in need of a major life makeover. Cue the hot guy who has it all together and makes my toes curl in bed. Who then disappears before I wake up. When he reappears five months later as head coach of a pro football team, he wants a secret romance (aka: a no-one-can-ever-know bangfest) while I'm a nanny for his wild-child daughters.

I should say no. But he just might be my one true love...or my biggest mistake yet.

Doughn't Let Me Go by Teagan Hunter (Slice #3)

πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•

Doughn't Let Me Go is the perfect blend of romance and laughter! I have never craved pizza more than while I was reading this story, and it was worth the wait.

Dory has received the short end of the stick when it comes to stability in her life, but she's desperate for a change that will enable her to pursue her dreams.

Porter and his daughter need a change of scenery, and a fresh start is the perfect way to to that. What he doesn't expect is his one-night stand to be the perfect candidate for his daughter's nanny.

Kyrie is a definite scene-stealer and will run away with your heart. I love the interactions she has with every character, and the bond she establishes with Dory will make you tear up.

This can easily be read as a stand alone, but is more enjoyable if you read it as a series. A feel good romance, that will have you smiling while wanting to shake some sense into the main characters, lol. I love this series!

Summary:

It was just supposed to be one night.

No kissing. No feelings. A wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am tangle in the sheets and we go on our ways.

Only it's a small town, and I was bound to run into the irresistible Porter Jones again.

I just didn't expect it to be at my job interview...which he's conducting.

Now the live-in nanny to his adorable seven-year-old daughter, I'm doing my best to avoid falling for his charms.

Except it's much harder than either of us anticipated.

What's a few romps between friends?
No kissing. No feelings. Just fun.

Sounds simple, right?
Right...

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny by Piper Rayne (The Baileys #6)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny is about giving love a second chance! This book will have you falling in love with the Bailey family all over again. If only they really existed, I'd move to Alaska in a heartbeat!

Phoenix Bailey is the one in her family that can't seem to do anything right, so when she arranges to become a nanny in order to advance her music career, you know it's going to end up blowing up in her face.

Griffin Thorne has had enough of the fame and wants to focus on his son while he's still young. The last thing he wants is to be in a relationship, let alone with someone who has their sights set on moving to LA and entering the world he just escaped from.

This story was everything I wanted and more! The dynamic between Maverick (who stole my heart) and Phoenix was the highlight of the book for me. The way they connected over similar experiences won me over immediately.

I know Piper Rayne loves to mess with my heart, and this was no different. There are moments when I wanted to message them and threaten bodily harm if I didn't get a happy ending, but I've learned to trust the process.

As usual, you get all the Bailey clan in this one and it's always like attending a family reunion! I love the family dynamics and each book just gets better and better. I can't wait for the next one!

Summary:

When a famous music producer moves to Lake Starlight it can't just be a coincidence. It's the universe helping to move things along in the right direction so that Griffin Thorne can discover me.

I have to confess - I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Confession #1: I may have overheard that he was in search of a nanny. What can I say? My brother has a big mouth.

Confession #2: It's possible I helped along the assumption that I had nanny experience. Hey, babysitting my nieces and nephew counts, right?

Confession #3: There's a good chance I oversold my qualifications. But my Grandma Dori backed me up, so it's not completely my fault.

And it worked. He hired me. Only for me to find out that he left the business. I guess it's on to Plan B.

When he accidentally overhears me singing, I expect nothing from him. Then he asks to work with me on a song for our town's Founder's Day Parade and it feels like a dream come true. Until...

Confession #4: I've fallen for him.

Daddy Issues by Liv Morris

🍼🍼🍼🍼

Daddy Issues is a charming second chance, single dad romance! With minimal angst and plenty of romance, this story is a great tale of self discovery and learning to love again.

Lucas is a tough nut to crack, but you can understand why he makes the choices he does, and keeps people at arms length. Once he discovers that he's a father, his walls start crumbling down.

Maggie is a spitfire that will bring a smile to your face. Her interactions with Esme are precious, and she's the perfect person to make Lucas open his heart again.

This was a cute second chance romance, but I would've liked more interaction between characters. The beginning of the story was great at laying down the foundation for Lucas being extremely closed off, but about halfway through, the story just seemed to spiral too quickly to a close. I loved watching him open up and learn to trust again, so it's definitely worth the read, if only just for his journey.

πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:

My life was ordered. Smooth and neat like my scotch. I had arranged relationships with a beginning and end. No romantic attachments was my motto.

Then I met Maggie. A beautiful, young woman trying to find her place in the gritty world of Manhattan. She deserved more than a jaded man like me, so I let her walk away.

But fate stepped in and an ex-lover surprised me with a baby she claimed was mine. Desperate, I hired a well-recommended nanny sight unseen. When she knocked at the door of my penthouse, I opened it to find Maggie standing on the other side.

I watched Maggie lovingly care for my child and wanted to learn to be a father to my daughter. But having Maggie so close was dangerous. She was a terrifying ray of sunshine that threatened to thaw my frozen heart.

I needed her for my child.

At least that's what I told myself.

Until it was too late.
