Since You've Been Gone by Samantha Chase (Magnolia Sound #8)

🐾🐾🐾🐾

Best friends and rescue animals = sold! Since You've Been Gone is a story of coming home and following your heart.

While coming home for the weekend seemed like a good escape from the recent fame he's gained on social media, Garrett is forced to face the only woman he's ever loved.

Emma has a lot on her plate, so when her childhood best friend comes back to visit, she's left reeling from what her life could've been.

The genuine friendship between Emma and Garrett is so heart-warming, especially his bond with the rest of her family. The animal rescue aspect will tug at your heart, and I loved the entire story! Magnolia Sound is a town I'd love to live in.

πŸ’‹ Romance

SUMMARY:

Emmaline Ryan has always been the smart, shy girl who plays it safe. But all that's gotten her is a divorce and a mountain of debt to pay off courtesy of her ex-husband. Needless to say, she's stopped believing in miracles and fairy tales a long time ago. Except now she's in desperate need of one of those miracles if she wants to save her family's animal rescue. Emmaline knows just where to go for help, but that means putting her faith in the hands of the man who once broke her heart without even realizing it.

Garrett Coleman met the girl of his dreams when he was just eight years old -- only, he never told her. But that was years ago. Now, Garrett has become a reluctant social media star -- the shirtless #HotDoc and #SexyVet who saves scared and helpless animals. Sure, it's been great for business, but he'd give anything for people to see the real him, preferably with a shirt on. When a visit home to Magnolia Sound has him running into the shy girl he left behind, he sees his chance at the future he never thought he deserved.

Unfortunately, he's not the only one back in town, and wooing Emmaline just became a lot more complicated. A lot has changed since he's been gone and Garrett is going to have to prove that he's up to the challenge. Emmaline might still be the sweet and quiet girl he left behind, but he's not sure she's willing to wait.

Kiss My Putt by Tara Sivec (Summersweet Island #1)

❤❤❤❤❤

This RomCom was a hole in one! Kiss My Putt is an amazing friends to lovers romance, with a slow burn that will keep you laughing through each page.

Palmer and Birdie have been best friends since they were teenagers. Due to an immense lack of communication, neither of them know their feelings are returned. After a misunderstanding, a wedge is formed between them, leading to further separation.

The witty banter among family and friends will have you in stitches, and possibly tears. A light-hearted romantic comedy with plenty of steam and golf puns. Another hit from the always entertaining Tara Sivec!

🏌 Sports Romance

SUMMARY:

After spending my entire pro golfing career being known as the quiet, controlled, no-nonsense golfer on the tour, there's nothing more humiliating than throwing all of that down the drain -- or into a water hazard -- on national television. Needing some place to hide, to lick my wounds and figure out what I even want to do with my life once this blows over, I can only think of one place I need to be. Summersweet Island, where everyone treats me like one of their own, and they'll all be happy to have me home again.

Well, except maybe one person. It's been two years since I last set foot on Summersweet Island or spoke to anyone there. But I'm sure Birdie Bennett, my best friend since I was 15 and the clubhouse manager of my favorite golf course, has had plenty of time to forgive me for that tiny little misunderstanding where I blocked her on social media and blocked her in my phone. Oh, and I guess I kind of, sort of accused her of being a stalker. It's fine!

Once my sexy, spunky, former best friend gets over the shock of seeing me again and stops trying to drive a 9-iron into my skull, I can finally let her know I've also kind of, sort of always been in love with her...

Lines We Cross by Marika Ray (Nickel Bay Brothers #1)

πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Lines We Cross is a home run in my heart! This brother's best friend romance has ALL the feels in it. Be prepared to laugh, cry and have your cheeks be sore days later from smiling so much.

Skylar Rae is surprised when the one person from her childhood she wants nothing to do with, shows up at her rehabilitation center asking for help.

Max promised his best friend that he wouldn't ask out Skylar Rae, but now that they're older and wiser, it might be time to put the past behind them and take a chance.

I loved watching the characters develop throughout the story, especially when their past isn't what it seems. A beautifully woven tale of love and loss, you can't help but lose your heart to this story.

 πŸ’§ Drama
πŸ’‹ Romance

Summary:

Small towns were made for second chances...even if it's your best friend's sister.

Skylar Rae
I'm getting by just fine on my own when the boy who stole my heart and ran away twelve years ago shows up in town again. He's a big shot baseball player now, needing my help to rehab his knee. If he'd just lay off the flirting and the dimples he throws with each grin, I might be able to do my job. Good thing I'm not dumb enough to fall for him a second time.

Max
I promised my best friend I would never make a move on his little sister. I kept that promise - if you don't count that one kiss senior year - but now that we're adults and I'm moving back home, all bets are off. Skylar Rae isn't the same person I knew twelve years ago and neither am I. It'll take a lot more healing than I expected to see if she and I can cross that line again.

Last Slice of Pie by Kathryn Andrews (Starving for Southern #2)

πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

Last Slice of Pie is a delicious treat! A second chance sports romance that'll have you believing in love and happily ever afters again, and is the perfect recipe to fully immerse yourself in the story.

Lexi has always had an unrequited crush on Bryan, and my heart immediately felt her plight in the first chapter. The thrill of knowing he was returning to their town, had me turning the pages as fast as I could read after that point.

Now Bryan...that man owns my heart! From the smallest things (his cherished memories of Lexi's cats while they were growing up), to his pursuit to win her over. He's the perfect example of what every book boyfriend should be.

Every time I re-read this book I'm making it a personal goal to make at least one of the recipes (there's one at the end of every chapter!)

Summary:
Lexi Jarvie
Pie isn't just a dessert, it's a way of life. Pies, fillings, jams, jellies, honey, they're all a part of my award-winning business, Firefly Kitchen. After being left behind, by everyone, I was determined to make it all on my own, and I have. I love what I do, I love what I've created, and I love who I've become. Yes, it's small, but it's mine, and nothing or no one can stop me now. Not even Bryan Brennen. He may have returned, but it won't be long before he leaves. And regardless of which way you slice it, some things can't be forgotten, no matter how sweet the taste.

Bryan Brennen
Football isn't just a sport, it's a way of life. I've spent more years than I can remember chasing my dream. When you come from nothing, it's even more important to become something. The unstoppable drive and incomparable determination that is ingrained in me has gotten me to where I am now; twenty-eight years old and undoubtedly the best professional quarterback in the league. To be happy is to be perfect. Plans, plays, passes, I've mastered them all, but it was never just for me, it was for her, too. Only she doesn't know it, and now, ten years later, I'm ready to tell her.

She's a small town girl. He's a household name.

Off the field and out of the kitchen, will they break and crumble, or finally get their second chance at the biggest game of them all...love.

My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #1)

πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Visiting New Orleans during Mardi Gras has just been bumped up to the top 5 on my bucket list! Erin Nicholas knocked this one out of the park and continues to amaze me with her characters.

The author has a way of drawing the reader into the story and making you feel like you're right in the thick of it all. The instant chemistry between the main characters is intense, but believable and heart warming.

The Landry family is filled with such dynamic characters, that the story is worth reading if only just for the entertainment they provide. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

πŸ˜„ Comedy
πŸ’‹ Romance

Brief Summary:
One hot meeting during Mardi Gras leads to an agreement to meet again, same time the following year.

Josh Landry takes it seriously enough to remain celibate for the entire year, but when Tori Kramer needs him to pretend to be her boyfriend, he's more than all in.
