Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #6)

🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

The Landry clan does it again! Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour is a fast-paced RomCom that will have you laughing until you cry, then probably adopting a rescue animal soon after.

All of the previous stories/characters are briefly touched upon, so you'll feel right at home with the whole family. As each of their lives intertwine, they must come together to find a solution, and at the heart of it all is newcomer Paige.

This yoga-teaching, cat-loving, proposal-phobic woman just wants to belong somewhere, but she gets more than she bargained for with Mitch.

Between his own growing feelings, and the well-meaning interferences from his family, Paige finds herself torn between being independent and falling for all Landry's.

I love the Boys of the Bayou and this tied everyone's stories together beautifully. Paige will always have a special place in my heart for her love of cats. I can't get enough of this family and I find myself coming back often to binge-read the series.

😄 Comedy

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

She's been proposed to five times.

Five.

She even said yes to one of them.

And then broke his heart when she called it off. Not to mention her mother's heart. And her grandmother's. And his mother's. And...you get the picture.

Paige Asher has now officially sworn off all dating. Diamonds give her hives.

All she wants is to be a yoga-doing, cat-collecting, vegetarian in peace. Away from her marriage-crazy family and all their expectations.

So when her weekend fling turns into a real friend and offers her a place to escape, she finds herself on his doorstep in Louisiana. And right in the middle of not just one family wedding, but three. Of course.

Charming, sexy bayou boy Mitch Landry gets stuff done. Whatever anyone needs. From alligator-sitting to getting a buddy drunk to showing a woman a good time to fixing a swamp boat, he's the man. No problem. No drama.

But he wants a hell of a lot more from Paige than a temporary friends-with-benefits arrangement. He wants to take care of her. And her five cats. He also really wants other men to stop asking her to marry them.

But if a roommate and a few orgasms are all she wants, that's what he'll deliver.

He can just be her friend and not commit the greatest sin of all...asking her for forever.

Probably.

Gimme S'more by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #6)

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

S'mores have a whole new meaning to me! Gimme S'more was everything I've been hoping for and more.

Piper has always been there to keep Oliver grounded with his wild ideas, but after 2 years of secretly being in love with him, and she's finally had enough.

After Piper turns in her resignation, Ollie is forced to realize how much he relies on her. Determined to convince her that she doesn't truly care for him and to take her job back, he strikes a bargain that might just change both of their lives forever.

I've been waiting for Ollie and Piper's story since the first book and it was worth every moment. Their witty banter and genuine friendship is what every book tries to capture, but their journey is one I could read over and over again!

😄 Comedy

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Oliver's a dreamer who is always ready for the next big adventure.

Piper's the steady one who keeps his feet on the ground.

He's wildly successful, thanks to her always being there to catch him when he leaps before he looks. But she wants more. While he's as clueless as ever.

Oh, Fudge by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #5)

❤❤❤❤❤

You'll be craving fudge for days! Oh, Fudge is a sweet budding romance between two people that always just wanted a light-hearted fling.

Paige Asher is a character that I instantly bonded with over her love of rescuing strays. She's a genuine person that just wants to live her life away from the prying eyes and meddling of her family.

Mitch Landry (let's be serious, you hear the last name Landry and you already know you'll be a goner!) wants more than a fling with Paige and if he has to go the "friend" route to get there, so be it. If his handyman ways don't win you over, his accent sure will!

Erin Nicholas knows just how to write the perfect blend of romance and sweet-talking sass! I adore both of these series and need Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour in my greedy hands now!!!

😄 Comedy

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Paige Asher likes her men the way she likes her coffee: hot, slightly sweet, and only to-go.

The hot friend-of-a-friend she had a scorching single night with was just about perfect -- tall, rugged, with a sexy drawl...and on the road out of town by six a.m. the next morning. Long before her mom could start picking out wedding flowers.

But now she can't stop thinking about the Louisiana boy. His texts make her smile and she suddenly has a craving for gumbo all the time...hot and spicy and far from home.

Mitch Landry had no idea Iowa would be so hospitable to a visitor. He knew the Midwest had a reputation for friendliness but his welcome gift -- a sassy, sweet blond who is as no-strings-attached as he is -- was a dream come true six months ago.

But why is he still texting her? And why did he jump at the chance to come back to Iowa? And why is he so annoyed by her phobia to commitment this time? And why is he pretty sure leaving Paige this time is going to be one of the hardest things he's ever done?

Damn, is this what falling in love feels like?

Oh, fu...fudge.

Semi-Sweet On You by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #4)

🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

Another sweet treat in the series! Semi-Sweet On You is a second chance romance that'll leave you with a sweet tooth, so have something handy.

Whitney is fiercely independent, trying to prove her worth to the new owners, especially after the emotional abuse from the men in her family. She doesn't have time for romance, so when the only man she's ever loved comes back to town, trying to save her family's business, she's in for a rude awakening.

Cam has built his fortune from the ground up, mainly to prove to everyone that he's not the lowlife they thought he was. What started out as proving a point, ends up meaning so much more when his heart gets involved.

This was a wonderful slow burn that goes at the perfect pace. Not only does it have plenty of laughs along the way, but it touches your heart with deep issues that most books seem to skip over.

My favorite part of the book was not only Didi and all her shenanigans (bless her heart), but finally getting to know more about her relationship with Letty, creating the family discord that went on for years.

I absolutely love the Hot Cakes series and adore each book more than the last, if that's even possible. The characters are quirky, genuine and lovable...with a town I'd move to in a heartbeat!

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

She broke his heart ten years ago.

Now he's back -- and her new boss.

And she might still be semi in love with him.

But that's no problem, right? They can keep it professional.

Until her grandmother gets involved.

She's thrilled to think that Whitney and Cam are still in love. And invites him to move in with her...and Whitney.

Of course, Whitney can handle that too. Yeah, everything is fine. Just fine.

Until Cam makes it clear that he's all in.

Having him back is very sweet, but can she really have it all? Or will it all crumble around her?

Making Whoopie by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #3)

🥮🥮🥮🥮🥮

The perfect marriage of convenience! Making Whoopie will own your heart from the first chapter, and I guarantee you'll never be able to look at cheesy potatoes the same way again.

Grant and Josie's chemistry is undeniable, only growing stronger the longer they're together, whether it's fake or not.

While Grant's main focus in life is to educate women on how to be self-reliant, Josie is a walking contradiction to that, but she fights tooth and nail for what she wants in life.

A sweetly charming, romantic comedy and my favorite in the Hot Cakes series so far. A steamy read with a Cinderella-vibe that will leave you with a sweet tooth. I'm really looking forward to Cam and Whitney's story next!

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

This marriage of convenience is about to get sticky.

Getting hitched for the health insurance is not Jocelyn Asher's idea of romance.

But the hospital quote has really frosted her cookies, and suddenly, "I'm rich. We should get married," sounds a whole lot more swoony.

Especially when the man proposing is this gorgeous. And takes her to parties featuring champagne and petit fours. She's a sucker for anything with bubbles or icing. And just like that she finds herself married to a near stranger.

Grant Lorre is usually allergic to spontaneity.

So why did he ask the beautiful small-town baker he had a one-stand with to marry him? Somehow watching her lick batter off a whisk -- not a euphemism -- made a wedding and a little fraud seem like a sweet idea.

They'll just play house and make some whoopie -- pies, of course -- for a few months and then move on with their separate lives. Until then, bring on the cream filling. And that is a euphemism.

But as things heat up even outside of the kitchen, they quickly realize there's no recipe to follow when it comes to love.

Forking Around by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #2)

🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

Forking Around is a sweet treat! This is the second book in the Hot Cakes series, and I've fallen hard for Dax Marshall.

The perfect mix of office romance and enemies to lovers, this story will have you laughing and swooning around every corner.

Dax is my new favorite book boyfriend, with his unwavering faith and determination to fix things for everyone he cares about, he'll steal your heart and have you believing in romance again.

Jane's devotion to her family and fellow employees is commendable and will have you cheering for her to find her happy ending. While she definitely needs something to go right in her life, her fierce independence is one of the things I loved most about her character.

This can be read as a stand alone, but it would be enjoyed more in series order. I highly recommend having a cake pop or two on hand while reading as well!

😄 Comedy
💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

A Cinderella story. With O-Inducing strawberry pie...delivered by her very hot boss. No fairy godmother required here.

Everyone thinks Dax Marshall is a prince of a guy. And he's definitely charming.

But Jane has enough going on without adding a torrid fling with the boss to her life. Between her father's illness, her wicked-ish stepmother, her little sister's teenage drama, and the co-workers who depend on her -- she can't handle another mess.

No matter how tempting and gorgeous the mess may be. Or how messy he wants to get with her.

Dax has spent his life being very serious about only one thing: proving you can be successful while still having a helluva good time. But he's just met the one woman who might break his I-can-charm-anyone streak. She's actually taking him seriously...and she seriously thinks they have nothing in common and can't be together.

Maybe he's the one who needs a new view of happily ever after. It's time to stop forking around.

Getting Off Easy by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Big Easy #4)

🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼

Getting Off Easy is one you won't be able to put down! Two people brought together by the mystery of who abandoned a newborn baby at their door, will lead to so much more.

James will win your heart almost immediately. I love that he's not truly the manwhore that everyone thinks he is, especially since Harper moved in the building. His moments with Isaac will make you swoon and want to rescue all of the things with him.

Harper is a tough nut to crack, but it's so much fun to watch James break down the walls she's so carefully built. Once she decides to go for something, she's a sight to behold.

Filled with anticipation of who the mystery baby mama is and whether or not Isaac is James's son, will have you turning the pages just as fast as you can read. I haven't been this anxious about how everything will turn out for the characters, in a long time.

I loved Harper and James together, their banter and chemistry make for a wonderful romance, and I can't wait to read this story all over again. Definitely one of my favorites in the Boys of the Big Easy series!

 💧 Drama
💋 Romance

Summary:

New Orleans firefighter, James Reynaud's true love is hanging out in the jazz clubs on Frenchman Street and playing piano with some of the best musicians in the city. But driving his cute, bookworm neighbor Harper Broussard crazy is right up there on his list of favorite things.

The buttoned-up linguistics professor across the hall is a little older, a lot smarter, and way too good for him. And she knows it. But wow is she beautiful when she blushes.

She's equally gorgeous when she's saving his butt. Because now things just got serious. A baby has been, literally, dropped off on his doorstep and to say he's in over his head is an understatement. Not that Harper knows anything about babies either. But at least they now having something in common.

Crazy Rich Cajuns by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #4)

🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

Crazy Rich Cajuns is my favorite in the series! Anyone that's followed along the Landry family journey has been introduced to Kennedy, and I've been dying for her story.

Kennedy Landry is a no-holds bar character that you won't forget! Her stubbornness and prejudice doesn't win her any suitors, but she's a dedicated employee at her family's business, even if her favorite thing to do is annoy the new partner.

Bennett Baxter has had the hots for Kennedy since he laid eyes on her, and the attraction has only grown with each of their conversations, even if they're sparring the whole time.

The witty banter and verbal shots they take at each other will have you in stitches! I loved this story SO much and it's definitely my favorite in the Bayou series.

I enjoy when you go into a book thinking you know the character pretty well, only for the author to draw you in even more and open your mind to an even deeper development, making you fall harder for their story.

Kennedy's story was worth the wait, and I love that she gives Bennett a run for his money, even if he throws it right back at her most of the time.

If you're looking for a funny, light-hearted, crazy families, sassy and steamy romance - then this is the book you'll enjoy over and over again.

😂 Comedy
💋 Romance

Summary:
He wears suits and ties. He'll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God's sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.

She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can't he get her out of his mind? But he can't. He definitely can't.

A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy - schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I've-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.

But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don't really know much at all -- about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.

Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #3)

🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

Beauty and the Bayou is a beautiful story of triumph after tragedy! Who knew a book could make duct tape and bubble wrap seem so appealing?!?

While everyone has kept their distance to give Sawyer time to grieve in his own way, Juliet appreciates his over-protective ways. Between the special gear and extra steps, she's too hard to resist and Sawyer finds himself drawn to someone that actually heeds his warnings.

Juliet thinks everything through before acting on it, and has a backup plan for every contingency. Being at a disadvantage in life, she's used to being left behind and not taken seriously, but the way Sawyer looks at her is entirely new.

Juliet and Sawyer are two perfectly flawed individuals, that both have traumatic experiences in their past that make them extremely cautious and aware.

As they slowly let their guards down to one another, perhaps they're the best chance at letting go of the past and living what could resemble a normal life, even if it's without each other in the end.

I've highly enjoyed the entire Boys of the Bayou series so far and never think anything can top them...well, I was proven wrong once again. Erin Nicholas is amazing at drawing you into the characters lives and making you feel their pain and sorrow. Sawyer has been the story I have been most anticipating since the first book and he has a piece of my heart forever!

 💧 Drama
💋 Romance
 🔥 Steamy

Summary:
Sawyer Landry knows he's been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can't seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.

But he's not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She's quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He's incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn't intimidated by his growling.

The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his Grandma's jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.

But Sawyer doesn't need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren't going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can't be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there's an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There's the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Sweet Home Louisiana by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #2)

🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

The part I love most about the Boys of the Bayou series, is while the main focus is on the two main characters - secondary characters from previous stories have a strong recurring role throughout the book. So it's always like a mini extension of the previous books you've loved!

I absolutely adore Owen and Maddie's story. While she sees their chemistry as a potential disaster, the feelings they had when they were younger have only come back stronger. Crazy hijinks stemmed from jealousy, will keep you in stitches.

Maddie has learned to bottle her feelings and pour it into a creative outlet, but after being back in Autre, her ability to paint becomes non-existent. After she finds herself acting out and doing things she normally would never do, she's reminded why she left in the first place.

Throughout the story, I kept going back and forth on if I wanted them to end up back together, whether that meant HE moved to California, or SHE moved back to Autry. I even started to wonder if it'd be best for them if they stayed apart...and I really hated that feeling, but it just means I loved the characters enough to want the best for them.

Maddie is welcomed back into the fold, by people who have always been like a second family to her. It broke my heart to hear about how her brother died and you can feel her heartache through the pages.

Sweet Home Louisiana makes me want to move to the south (if only it wasn't so bloody hot and didn't had Thor-sized bugs). Erin Nicholas perfectly embodies the characters in her writing and you can't help but feel completely immersed in the story, and it's always over too soon for my liking. Absolutely loved it!

Summary:
After being left a share in the swamp boat tour company when her brother died in a tragic accident, Madison Allain must travel back to her hometown for 30 days before she can legally sell to someone else.

The only problem with that, is her past is still there, ready to bring out the crazy in her and potentially wreak havoc.

Owen Landry has never gotten over his first love, so when she's forced to come back, he has his guard up. Can they really fight their chemistry, that's only gotten hotter in the last 12 years?

My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding by Erin Nicholas (Boys of the Bayou #1)

💛💛💛💛💛

Visiting New Orleans during Mardi Gras has just been bumped up to the top 5 on my bucket list! Erin Nicholas knocked this one out of the park and continues to amaze me with her characters.

The author has a way of drawing the reader into the story and making you feel like you're right in the thick of it all. The instant chemistry between the main characters is intense, but believable and heart warming.

The Landry family is filled with such dynamic characters, that the story is worth reading if only just for the entertainment they provide. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Brief Summary:
One hot meeting during Mardi Gras leads to an agreement to meet again, same time the following year.

Josh Landry takes it seriously enough to remain celibate for the entire year, but when Tori Kramer needs him to pretend to be her boyfriend, he's more than all in.
