Ascend by Swati M.H. (Elements of Rapture #2)

 💙💙💙💙

Garrett is an amazing book boyfriend! All the great tropes in this book had me hooked from the start.

I love a protective Garrett, especially his bond with sassy little Meena. Children are my weakness in romances, and once G gave her a nickname, I knew he owned my heart.

If you love a good single parent, friends to more, marriage of convenience story - I promise you'll adore the connection between Bella and Garrett.

While you don't need to read Adrift first, the character development and side characters are completely worth devouring both books.

**Fake Relationship
**Marriage of Convenience
**Single Mom
**Witty Romance

SUMMARY:

Did I plan to marry the single mom I've wanted for years on a drunken whim in Vegas? No.

Do I regret it? Heck no!

Bella Patel might think we're just friends, or that I'm nothing but a playboy pilot, or even that this marriage is only a temporary charade...but I'm hell-bent on proving her wrong.

If she's skittish and stubborn, then I'm dependable and determined.

So, when her scumbag baby-daddy threatens her and she asks me to double down on our ruse, I'm only too eager to comply.

My condition? For her and her daughter to move in with me. You know, for 'optics' sake.

Because by the end of this marriage contract, the only jackpot I want to win is a chance at forever with her.

Making Whoopie by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #3)

🥮🥮🥮🥮🥮

The perfect marriage of convenience! Making Whoopie will own your heart from the first chapter, and I guarantee you'll never be able to look at cheesy potatoes the same way again.

Grant and Josie's chemistry is undeniable, only growing stronger the longer they're together, whether it's fake or not.

While Grant's main focus in life is to educate women on how to be self-reliant, Josie is a walking contradiction to that, but she fights tooth and nail for what she wants in life.

A sweetly charming, romantic comedy and my favorite in the Hot Cakes series so far. A steamy read with a Cinderella-vibe that will leave you with a sweet tooth. I'm really looking forward to Cam and Whitney's story next!

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

This marriage of convenience is about to get sticky.

Getting hitched for the health insurance is not Jocelyn Asher's idea of romance.

But the hospital quote has really frosted her cookies, and suddenly, "I'm rich. We should get married," sounds a whole lot more swoony.

Especially when the man proposing is this gorgeous. And takes her to parties featuring champagne and petit fours. She's a sucker for anything with bubbles or icing. And just like that she finds herself married to a near stranger.

Grant Lorre is usually allergic to spontaneity.

So why did he ask the beautiful small-town baker he had a one-stand with to marry him? Somehow watching her lick batter off a whisk -- not a euphemism -- made a wedding and a little fraud seem like a sweet idea.

They'll just play house and make some whoopie -- pies, of course -- for a few months and then move on with their separate lives. Until then, bring on the cream filling. And that is a euphemism.

But as things heat up even outside of the kitchen, they quickly realize there's no recipe to follow when it comes to love.

You're The One by Layla Hagen (Very Irresistible Bachelors #1)

❤❤❤❤❤

You're The One will have you adding NYC to your bucket list! You won't be able to help falling for Hunter, and especially his family.

Everyone has that one friend that they'd do anything for - and Hunter is that person for Josie. So when he runs into a problem that neither of the lawyers can solve, there's only one clear solution...marriage.

My heart ached for Josie during this story, as she's the typical woman who's always dreamed of her perfect wedding to the dream guy.

Hunter knows he's asking a lot from his best friend and doesn't want to lose her. I love how open and honest they are with each other throughout the story, it gives the characters a genuine feel.

Beautifully written, with a family of supporting characters that will have you in stitches from laughter. I adored this book, as I do everything from Layla Hagen, and can't wait for more in this series!

Summary:

Hot. Flirty. Romantic.

It all started as pretend...

My best friend, and one of the most powerful men in New York, needed my help.

Our first kiss was unexpected -- but it still made my skin sizzle, my knees go week.

The next one was in front of his tight-knit family. We had to be convincing. But it was so wicket hot, it almost convinced me too.

On our first night together, he told me that I had to keep us both in check, because he didn't know how to keep the lines from blurring...

He touched me like I was precious, and held me close...barely stopping his fingers from pushing down the straps of my dress...

On our second night, our banter turned to flirting. Hunter -- my best friend was now Hunter -- the man. Intense. Alluring. Sexy as hell.

How was I supposed to not fall in love?

Skye by Kelsie Rae (Signature Sweethearts #8)

🤍🤍🤍🤍

Skye will win your heart! Two very different people from opposites sides of the tracks, come together to make the best of a bad situation...what could possibly go wrong?

Skye means well, and thinks she sees a different side to Liam, causing her to agree to the unthinkable. I love her faith in others and how she tries to see the good in everyone.

Liam is definitely the player you were always warned to stay away from, but you can't help but wonder what makes him act the way he does. Fair warning: You'll want to punch him at first, but I guarantee he'll win you over before the end.

The witty banter between Liam and Skye captured me from the beginning, and by then I was hooked to find out how the scenario would play out. Liam's little brother is by far by favorite scene stealer and I loved watching this story develop. Such a great addition to the Signature Sweethearts series!

Summary:

Skye
Walking down the aisle toward my arch enemy wasn't exactly what I was picturing when I planned out my dream wedding as a little kid. But as I take in his chiseled jaw and sexy smirk, I remember why I agreed to this sham of a marriage.

It's because I'm a glutton for punishment and love a good underdog story, and the more I get to know Liam, the more I can see that he's exactly that.

The underdog.

I just hope I'm not wrong about him.

Liam
Marriage is a load of crap and my dad knows it, which is why he insisted I find a wife if I ever wanted to touch my inheritance.

Little does he know, I don't have a problem getting my hands dirty in order to get what I want. And if I have to use my little brother's nanny to prove it, I will.

Besides, the girl drives me insane. It's not like we have anything in common other than our mutual disdain for each other.

This'll be a walk in the park.

I hope.

Stay by Tia Louise

❤❤❤❤❤

Absolutely loved it! I can't say enough about this story, it has everything:

✔ Frenemies to Lovers
✔ Brooding Millionaire
✔ Single Mother
✔ Adorable Kid
✔ Asshole Ex
✔ Quirky Friends
✔ Humor

I've never read a story before that embodied it's title so well. I'll literally think of Stephen and Emmy whenever I hear the word "Stay" from now on.

I have to be honest, Emmy's son Eli is the one who stole the show. His innocence will win you over from the moment you meet him and you'll find yourself drawn to the story just for him alone.

Let's not forget about the fact that Emmy can't stand Stephen, which she's never afraid to say to his face, making for hysterically awkward moments.

There were moments where I just wanted to shake both of the main characters, so they could see what was right in front of them, but I suppose that's what makes the journey worthwhile.

I laughed, cried, then laughed some more. Read it and you can thank me later! The characters are ones you'll want to keep coming back for, even after you've finished reading.

Stephen Hastings is a control freak. He's arrogant. He's smart as a whip and sexy AF. He has too much money. He's bossy, and he's usually right. All I saw were his clear blue eyes, tight butt, and ripped torso. I gladly handed him my V-card that night, ten years ago. I was so stupid. I swore I'd never be that stupid again...

Emmy Barton works for a dry cleaner? Yes, that Emmy Barton - long, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, pretty smile... Sexy little body. Smart mouth. She was the only girl who interested me, but I was leaving to be an officer in the Navy.

Now I'm home, running my business. My life is perfectly ordered until I bump into her, divorced and struggling to make ends meet. I hate seeing her like this. I hate that she married Burt "The Dick" Dickerson. What an a--hole.

She says she hates me, but when we fight, it's all heat and lust. I won't leave her this way. She will let me help her and her son. She will stay... It's a thin line between love and hate, and this line is on fire.
