Making Whoopie by Erin Nicholas (Hot Cakes #3)

🥮🥮🥮🥮🥮

The perfect marriage of convenience! Making Whoopie will own your heart from the first chapter, and I guarantee you'll never be able to look at cheesy potatoes the same way again.

Grant and Josie's chemistry is undeniable, only growing stronger the longer they're together, whether it's fake or not.

While Grant's main focus in life is to educate women on how to be self-reliant, Josie is a walking contradiction to that, but she fights tooth and nail for what she wants in life.

A sweetly charming, romantic comedy and my favorite in the Hot Cakes series so far. A steamy read with a Cinderella-vibe that will leave you with a sweet tooth. I'm really looking forward to Cam and Whitney's story next!

SUMMARY:

This marriage of convenience is about to get sticky.

Getting hitched for the health insurance is not Jocelyn Asher's idea of romance.

But the hospital quote has really frosted her cookies, and suddenly, "I'm rich. We should get married," sounds a whole lot more swoony.

Especially when the man proposing is this gorgeous. And takes her to parties featuring champagne and petit fours. She's a sucker for anything with bubbles or icing. And just like that she finds herself married to a near stranger.

Grant Lorre is usually allergic to spontaneity.

So why did he ask the beautiful small-town baker he had a one-stand with to marry him? Somehow watching her lick batter off a whisk -- not a euphemism -- made a wedding and a little fraud seem like a sweet idea.

They'll just play house and make some whoopie -- pies, of course -- for a few months and then move on with their separate lives. Until then, bring on the cream filling. And that is a euphemism.

But as things heat up even outside of the kitchen, they quickly realize there's no recipe to follow when it comes to love.

Roping the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox (Circle B Ranch #1)

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Roping the Cowboy was worth the wait! It was originally featured on the Read Me Romance podcast, so I (painfully) waited to read the finished product until the book was released in it's entirety with the bonus chapters and epilogue.

Falling for the Cowboy is the only book by Kennedy Fox that I haven't read yet, even though I own the paperback and Kindle versions, it's the one I've been saving til I need a book to get me out of a reading rut.

Roping loosely ties in after Falling, but not enough that you couldn't read it as a stand alone. As usual, the occasional appearance of a Bishop family member is a welcome sight to any fan of Kennedy Fox books.

After a one-night stand gone wrong, Kat is forced to see Braxton on a daily basis. Their witty banter takes the next step up, turning into a battle of pranks that quickly escalates out of control.

Roping the Cowboy is a swoon-worthy, quick read! I enjoyed the extended new content and the epilogue is always my favorite part. Kat and Braxton have an undeniable connection, one that makes it even more enjoyable to watch them deny for as long as possible.

When Katarina shows up at the Circle B Ranch Bed & Breakfast to serve her new gluten-free, sugar-free, organic pastries, Braxton decides to make her life hell for kicking him out the next morning and then pretending he never existed.

First step, make fun of her tasteless muffins. Second step, get revenge.

Soon the duo are at each other's throats, getting even until things go too far and the chemistry burns too hot.

Kat claims their night together meant nothing. He's determined to prove her wrong.
