Crazy Rich Cajuns is my favorite in the series! Anyone that's followed along the Landry family journey has been introduced to Kennedy, and I've been dying for her story.
Kennedy Landry is a no-holds bar character that you won't forget! Her stubbornness and prejudice doesn't win her any suitors, but she's a dedicated employee at her family's business, even if her favorite thing to do is annoy the new partner.
Bennett Baxter has had the hots for Kennedy since he laid eyes on her, and the attraction has only grown with each of their conversations, even if they're sparring the whole time.
The witty banter and verbal shots they take at each other will have you in stitches! I loved this story SO much and it's definitely my favorite in the Bayou series.
I enjoy when you go into a book thinking you know the character pretty well, only for the author to draw you in even more and open your mind to an even deeper development, making you fall harder for their story.
Kennedy's story was worth the wait, and I love that she gives Bennett a run for his money, even if he throws it right back at her most of the time.
If you're looking for a funny, light-hearted, crazy families, sassy and steamy romance - then this is the book you'll enjoy over and over again.

Summary:
He wears suits and ties. He'll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God's sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.
She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can't he get her out of his mind? But he can't. He definitely can't.
A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy - schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I've-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.
But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don't really know much at all -- about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.

Beauty and the Bayou is a beautiful story of triumph after tragedy! Who knew a book could make duct tape and bubble wrap seem so appealing?!?
While everyone has kept their distance to give Sawyer time to grieve in his own way, Juliet appreciates his over-protective ways. Between the special gear and extra steps, she's too hard to resist and Sawyer finds himself drawn to someone that actually heeds his warnings.
Juliet thinks everything through before acting on it, and has a backup plan for every contingency. Being at a disadvantage in life, she's used to being left behind and not taken seriously, but the way Sawyer looks at her is entirely new.
Juliet and Sawyer are two perfectly flawed individuals, that both have traumatic experiences in their past that make them extremely cautious and aware.
As they slowly let their guards down to one another, perhaps they're the best chance at letting go of the past and living what could resemble a normal life, even if it's without each other in the end.
I've highly enjoyed the entire Boys of the Bayou series so far and never think anything can top them...well, I was proven wrong once again. Erin Nicholas is amazing at drawing you into the characters lives and making you feel their pain and sorrow. Sawyer has been the story I have been most anticipating since the first book and he has a piece of my heart forever!

Summary:
Sawyer Landry knows he's been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can't seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.
But he's not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She's quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He's incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn't intimidated by his growling.
The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his Grandma's jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.
But Sawyer doesn't need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren't going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can't be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there's an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There's the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

The part I love most about the Boys of the Bayou series, is while the main focus is on the two main characters - secondary characters from previous stories have a strong recurring role throughout the book. So it's always like a mini extension of the previous books you've loved!
I absolutely adore Owen and Maddie's story. While she sees their chemistry as a potential disaster, the feelings they had when they were younger have only come back stronger. Crazy hijinks stemmed from jealousy, will keep you in stitches.
Maddie has learned to bottle her feelings and pour it into a creative outlet, but after being back in Autre, her ability to paint becomes non-existent. After she finds herself acting out and doing things she normally would never do, she's reminded why she left in the first place.
Throughout the story, I kept going back and forth on if I wanted them to end up back together, whether that meant HE moved to California, or SHE moved back to Autry. I even started to wonder if it'd be best for them if they stayed apart...and I really hated that feeling, but it just means I loved the characters enough to want the best for them.
Maddie is welcomed back into the fold, by people who have always been like a second family to her. It broke my heart to hear about how her brother died and you can feel her heartache through the pages.
Sweet Home Louisiana makes me want to move to the south (if only it wasn't so bloody hot and didn't had Thor-sized bugs). Erin Nicholas perfectly embodies the characters in her writing and you can't help but feel completely immersed in the story, and it's always over too soon for my liking. Absolutely loved it!

Visiting New Orleans during Mardi Gras has just been bumped up to the top 5 on my bucket list! Erin Nicholas knocked this one out of the park and continues to amaze me with her characters.
The author has a way of drawing the reader into the story and making you feel like you're right in the thick of it all. The instant chemistry between the main characters is intense, but believable and heart warming.
The Landry family is filled with such dynamic characters, that the story is worth reading if only just for the entertainment they provide. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
