I'd give Code of Conduct six stars if I could! I couldn't put this book down, even going to the lengths of sitting in my car after I got home from work, just to finish the scene I was reading.
I was hooked from the first chapter, and fell in love with Shane's character with every page. I admire her strength, her humor and her wit. The air of mystery around her past will keep you guessing throughout the story.
Gabriel is amazing, and while his no-nonsense belief can be a bit intimidating, he's genuine and honest - two traits that are hard to come by anymore.
Every interaction between Shane and Gabriel leaves you with a smile. They're two of the most enjoyable characters I've read. I can't recommend this book enough!
With the perfect combination of romance, humor and suspense - this book is a must-read, and I'll definitely be adding it to my bookshelf. I'm loving this series so far and am overwhelmed with my need for more!!

Beauty and the Bayou is a beautiful story of triumph after tragedy! Who knew a book could make duct tape and bubble wrap seem so appealing?!?
While everyone has kept their distance to give Sawyer time to grieve in his own way, Juliet appreciates his over-protective ways. Between the special gear and extra steps, she's too hard to resist and Sawyer finds himself drawn to someone that actually heeds his warnings.
Juliet thinks everything through before acting on it, and has a backup plan for every contingency. Being at a disadvantage in life, she's used to being left behind and not taken seriously, but the way Sawyer looks at her is entirely new.
Juliet and Sawyer are two perfectly flawed individuals, that both have traumatic experiences in their past that make them extremely cautious and aware.
As they slowly let their guards down to one another, perhaps they're the best chance at letting go of the past and living what could resemble a normal life, even if it's without each other in the end.
I've highly enjoyed the entire Boys of the Bayou series so far and never think anything can top them...well, I was proven wrong once again. Erin Nicholas is amazing at drawing you into the characters lives and making you feel their pain and sorrow. Sawyer has been the story I have been most anticipating since the first book and he has a piece of my heart forever!

Summary:
Sawyer Landry knows he's been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can't seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks.
But he's not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She's quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He's incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn't intimidated by his growling.
The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her and Juliet finds that hotter than his Grandma's jambalaya. Well, that and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.
But Sawyer doesn't need any more people to worry about long-term and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren't going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can't be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there's an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There's the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.
