The Change Up by Meghan Quinn

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

Best friends to lovers perfection! The Change Up is amazing from start to finish. Nobody knows you better than your best friend, until it comes to matters of the heart...

I love watching men become super protective of their female friends, especially once they realize that they might have feelings for them, beware the alpha male.

Maddox is everything you expect from a baseball player, but the side of him that comes out when he's around Kinsley will make you fall for him instantly. We're talking book boyfriend, soft-hearted material here.

Kinsley is clueless as to the hotness that is her best friend, until she starts to develop feelings that she's afraid to pursue. She's all heart!

A feel-good, friends to lovers romance that will leave you with a smile on your face. Meghan Quinn is an author I can one-click and always be guaranteed laughter and romance.

SUMMARY:

BREAKING NEWS: The Bad Boy of Baseball, Maddox Paige, is totally and utterly whipped.

Okay, that might not be the headlines in the newspaper this morning, but it's the reality of my current situation.

It all started a month ago when I received a call from my best friend, Kinsley. She got a new job in Chicago and needed a place to stay. I've known the girl since I was five, what harm would it be to have her stay at my place for a while?

Ha! Total disaster.

Now instead of going out every night with my teammates, I'm couch surfing and sketching endless photos of my best friend...but that's the least of my concerns.

The disaster, you ask? I'm rapidly falling head over cleats in love with my best friend, my roommate, and my number one fan.

And she has no idea...

Focused by Karla Sorensen

🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Focused will leave you with all of the good feels! I love the quirky characters, even ones I want to punch in the junk.

Molly is definitely a "fly by the seat of your pants" character, but her intentions are good. Being raised in the football world, she feels even more determined to prove how good she is at her job, and that she's earned the position.

Noah takes a hot minute to warm up to, but after you learn why he acts the way he does, your heart will open up to him.

A heart-warming story about second chances and pursuing your dreams. Noah is my new favorite book boyfriend of 2020! I absolutely loved this story from start to finish and highly recommend it if you're a sports romance fan.

💋 Romance
🏈 Sports

Summary:

If you've ever seen your teenage crush ten years later, and he turns out to be a complete jerk, then you know how Molly Ward feels.

The last time she saw Noah Griffin was the regrettable day that she decided to climb into his bedroom window and turn her unrequited crush into something more.

That day was bad enough, but things are about to get worse.

Noah has become one of the best football players in the country, and he's just landed on Molly's front step.

As a new addition to the Washington Wolves roster, Noah's presence is the key to Molly's promotion in the front office.

The problem is, Noah wants nothing to do with Molly, and his surly attitude is making her job very difficult.

But he's got another thing coming if he thinks Molly will be intimidated by one grumpy football player, no matter how much he hates being around her.

Once these two go head to head, their mutual dislike explodes into undeniable chemistry. But with what they have at stake, they just might detonate everything else along with it.

The Lineup by Meghan Quinn (Brentwood Baseball #3)

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Lineup is entertaining from start to finish! Filled with miscommunications, secrets and crushes - this story is one you don't want to miss.

Dottie is a workaholic, who only wants to make her Dad proud, especially after the last relationship she had ended in disaster, both personally and almost professionally.

She's harbored a secret crush on Jason Orson since they were in college together, and her friends jump on the opportunity of a charity auction to win a date with him.

When an outrageous amount of money is bid to Jason's charity, he's determined to find out who would pay that much, and why they'd cancel the date they rightfully won.

Determined to keep her distance and her heart safe, Dottie puts up a cold front and does everything to stay away from him...too bad it only spurs Jason to find out what he did to offend her.

The dynamics between Dottie and Jason are like fire and ice, leaving you wanting more with every page. Jason is such a tender-hearted character, alpha behind doors, and unfiltered with his friends.

With an enemies-to-lovers vibe, The Lineup will have you swooning, smiling, with a bit of a heart attack thrown in as well. This is in my top three favorite books from Meghan Quinn and I can't wait to read it again!

⚾ Sports Romance

Summary:

Want to know a secret?

It's about that girl over there. Don't look, but she's the one in the power suit -- with the long, black hair and the serious expression, the one I'm about to go on a date with...

Yeah, according to her, she "accidentally" donated an obscene amount of money to my charity -- The Lineup -- to win said date, but I found out the truth. Miss Button Up Blouse has a secret, passionate crush on me.

I didn't know her name until two days ago, despite the friends we have in common.

Was I oblivious? Probably.
Was I blind to it? Definitely.

But I'm no fool, I see it now. The High Heel Harlot wants more than just a date with Jason Orson, she wants to be able to claim the best butt in baseball as hers.

Here's another secret...she has no idea I know.

A Lie for a Lie by Helena Hunting (All In #1)

❤❤❤❤❤

A Lie for a Lie is the perfect second chance romance! I've been getting a little burned out with romances lately, but give me a feisty and stubborn female lead, and I'm all in (no pun intended.)

When Lainey and RJ are reunited, I knew I wouldn't be able to put this book down until I finished. This can definitely be read as a stand alone, but it makes me want to read the entire Pucked series, just so I can appreciate some of the characters storylines more.

This was such a wonderful book from Helena Hunting, who is one of my one-click authors for a reason, and I can't wait for A Favor is a Favor!

 💧 Drama
💋 Romance

Summary:
Sometimes I need an escape from the demands, the puck bunnies, and the notoriety that comes with being an NHL team captain. I just want to be the normal guy for a few weeks. So when I leave Chicago for some peace and quiet, the last thing I expect is for a gorgeous woman to literally fall into my lap on a flight to Alaska. Even better, she has absolutely no idea who I am.

Lainey is the perfect escape from my life. My plan for seclusion becomes a monthlong sex fest punctuated with domestic bliss. But it ends just as abruptly as it began. When I'm called away on a family emergency, I realize too late that I have no way to contact Lainey.

A year later, a chance encounter throws Lainey and me together again. But I still have a lie hanging over my head, and Lainey's keeping secrets of her own. With more than lust at stake, the truth may be our game changer.

The Dugout by Meghan Quinn (Brentwood Baseball #2)

⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾

The Dugout is another home run for Meghan Quinn! This clever and funny story will have you rooting for the underdog...and the baseball player too, lol.

Milly Potter may be a girl, but she knows all there is about baseball, including how to improve your game. Too bad she has the worst luck with guys, especially one in particular.

Carson Stone is trying to come back after an injury inflicted by a teammate. When his path keeps crossing with a certain female, he's thrown by her offer to help him get his mojo back.

At his breaking point, Carson has nothing to lose by accepting Milly's help - so when he actually blows him away with her knowledge and advice, a genuine bond is formed.

Meghan Quinn is in my top 3 favorite sports romance authors, and her books are instant one-clicks for me. The Dugout is a delightful story about two people trying to achieve their dreams, despite obstacles and prejudices thrown their way. I enjoy a good slow burn and this definitely lives up to all the hype!

😂 Comedy
💋 Romance

Summary:
Let me ask you a question:

If someone is vying for your spot on a team and just so happens to injure you during practice, would you believe it was on purpose?

Word around campus is...it was no accident.

That injury has cost me everything; my starting position, my junior year - and the draft. Now, I'm a senior fresh off recovery, struggling to find my groove, until the day I run into a nervous, fidgety, girl with freckles, in the dining hall.

They call Milly Potter The Baseball Whisperer, and The Epitome of All Knowledge. She believes in baseball. She breathes it. She's the queen of an infamous dynasty, but no one actually knows who she really is, and she plans to keep it that way.

One mishap in the panini line, one miscommunication in the weight room, and many failed attempts at an apology equal up to one solid truth -- Milly Potter never wants to speak to me again -- no matter how good my forearms look.

Little do we both know, she's about to become more than just my fairy ballmother.

Last Slice of Pie by Kathryn Andrews (Starving for Southern #2)

🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

Last Slice of Pie is a delicious treat! A second chance sports romance that'll have you believing in love and happily ever afters again, and is the perfect recipe to fully immerse yourself in the story.

Lexi has always had an unrequited crush on Bryan, and my heart immediately felt her plight in the first chapter. The thrill of knowing he was returning to their town, had me turning the pages as fast as I could read after that point.

Now Bryan...that man owns my heart! From the smallest things (his cherished memories of Lexi's cats while they were growing up), to his pursuit to win her over. He's the perfect example of what every book boyfriend should be.

Every time I re-read this book I'm making it a personal goal to make at least one of the recipes (there's one at the end of every chapter!)

Lexi Jarvie
Pie isn't just a dessert, it's a way of life. Pies, fillings, jams, jellies, honey, they're all a part of my award-winning business, Firefly Kitchen. After being left behind, by everyone, I was determined to make it all on my own, and I have. I love what I do, I love what I've created, and I love who I've become. Yes, it's small, but it's mine, and nothing or no one can stop me now. Not even Bryan Brennen. He may have returned, but it won't be long before he leaves. And regardless of which way you slice it, some things can't be forgotten, no matter how sweet the taste.

Bryan Brennen

The unstoppable drive and incomparable determination that is ingrained in me has gotten me to where I am now; twenty-eight years old and undoubtedly the best professional quarterback in the league. To be happy is to be perfect. Plans, plays, passes, I've mastered them all, but it was never just for me, it was for her, too. Only she doesn't know it, and now, ten years later, I'm ready to tell her.

She's a small town girl. He's a household name.

Off the field and out of the kitchen, will they break and crumble, or finally get their second chance at the biggest game of them all...love.

The Truth About Cowboys by Lisa Renee Jones (Texas Heat #1)

💙💙💙💙💙

The Truth About Cowboys will make you swoon in your boots! Filled with delightful comedy, tender moments and secrets nobody wants uncovered.

Jessica attempts to make the best of a bad situation by renting a cottage in the country, but from the moment she arrives, her path crosses with the one person who doesn't want her there.

Jason wants to leave his glory days and fame in the past, but when a distraction arrives on his doorstep, he's anything but welcoming to her.

Grandma Martha is the highlight of the story and will keep you rolling in laughter with her meddling. She means for the best and will stop at nothing to see those she loves, happy.

Lisa Renee Jones has been an author I've enjoyed following, but I have to say that this is my favorite book of hers so far. I love the storyline, witty characters and I couldn't put it down until the last page. Loved it!

This Is Crazy by Natasha Madison

🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒

I was sold when I read the tweet Zara sends:

"When your ex-boyfriend gets engaged, you ask his idol @EvanRichards to be your date to crash his wedding. What do you say? Wanna be my date?"

This Is Crazy has plenty of laughter, romance and is an overall joy to read. Evan will sweep you off your feet and raise the bar for any guy you'll ever meet in the future.

What starts out as a joke, quickly becomes more that Evan or Zara expected. When they meet in person, it's clear that neither is what their persona appears to be on social media outlets.

I highly enjoyed reading this story, even if my cheeks did hurt for hours afterwards. I'll be buying any future books in this series as well, and recommend this for anyone that loves a truly feel-good romantic comedy!

Summary:
Zara Stone -
All my life, I've said I will never date a hockey player. I know better because I've seen and lived it all. My father is a hockey god, my brother is a captain of the most successful NHL team in the world, and my brother-in-law also plays in their league. Their lives are complicated, so I went in the opposite direction. I fell in love with a scholar. But instead of proposing marriage, he broke up with me. Three months later, I saw his engagement picture on Instagram. I couldn't let him get away with that. No, it didn't matter what, I was going to make that man see that I did not need him.

Evan Richards -
I was in the running to pass my point record from last year, ready to claim the number one spot in the league. On top of my game, I was riding my career high wave. Then, Hockey's Princess, Zara Stone tweeted me. She wanted me to crash her ex's wedding. The worst that could happen? A PR nightmare. The best? A fun night with a beautiful woman. It started out as a game - something I'm good at. Her crazy idea twisted into something I wasn't looking for, something neither of us wanted. When push comes to shove, one thing runs through my mind:
This is Crazy. Also, this is crazy right.

The Lying Hours by Sara Ney (How to Date a Douchebag #5)

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

The Lying Hours introduces us to Abraham Davis, who surprisingly is the complete opposite of the typical douchebag. I adore his caring nature, which puts him in the sticky situation with Skylar.

I always laugh so hard during any of the books in this series, even more so when I listen to the Audiobook version. Abe's heart is in the right place, but the longer he waits to own up to the truth, the worse it makes the situation.

Skylar is sick of the typical guy and nobody being genuine. After weeding through duds and going on a nightmare of a date, that she walked out of, she doesn't understand why "JB" keeps messaging her.

Sara Ney is the queen of writing witty banter and the interaction between Abe and Skylar is awkwardly hysterical and heartwarming. The secondary characters add that extra humor without a filter. I love the Douchebag series and this was another wonderful addition!

🔥  Steamy

Summary:
Abe Davis is a fixer of everyone else's problems, nicknames "Grandfather", he's always there to bail someone out of trouble. After suffering from a rough break up, his roommate needs someone to filter through matches on a dating app, so he doesn't waste his time. Enter Skylar...

When one of the matches turns out to be someone that peaks Abe's interest, he warns JB to be nice to her and not mess it up...that's not how the date ends.

Skylar Gabriel is just looking for a nice guy that can make her laugh, but the version of JB she meets in person is NOTHING like the guy she's been chatting with online.

So where does she go from there? She walks out. Unfortunately, Abe can't stop thinking about her, but how do you pursue someone that doesn't know who you are?
