Only One Kiss by Natasha Madison (Only One #1)

🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒

A sports romance that will own your heart! Only One Kiss has sports, a single dad, and a hard-working woman determined to never date a client...what could possibly go wrong?

As with every sports romance from Natasha Madison, I was an emotional wreck, but loved every moment of this story. From the characters to the drama, I was sucked in from the first page. Give me a single dad any day, especially one with an adorable little girl, and I'm a goner!

The emotional baggage that Ralph needs to overcome in order to find happiness, whether with someone else or alone as a single dad, will break your heart (don't worry, it'll get put back together.)

My heart wasn't ready for the depth of this story and I can still feel phantom chest pains from the experience, but it was worth it. If this just the start of a new series, I can't wait to see what comes next!

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Ralph
Being traded to Dallas was a dream come true. I had everything I wanted, my game had never been better, and my wife was due to have our baby any day now.

What could go wrong? Everything.

I was now raising our baby on my own. After hockey practice and games, I didn't have time to sleep, let alone make sure my social media was up to par.

I never thought I'd get a second chance at love.

Candace

When my hotshot brother was drafter in the NHL, he didn't have time to do his social media, so I took over for him. Little did I know it would become my career.

My plate was full with over fifty NHL players, and I wasn't taking on any new clients.

Yet when he showed up on my doorstep with the cutest little girl in the whole world, I couldn't say no.

I was just helping, but it turned into more than that. He's the man I've been waiting for.

All it takes is one touch, one night, one chance, and only one kiss.

Ousted Princess by Tasha Lewis (Modern Princess Collection #6)

👑👑👑👑

This book will have your mind in a tug of war with your heart! Ousted Princess is a wonderful story that will have you second guessing who you want the main character to end up with.

Roni is the girl who took the plunge and confessed her feelings to her best friend, only to have them squashed and not returned. Just when she's starting to open her heart to someone else, her past comes back to bite her and she's torn between what's good for her and what she wants.

Sean is a character that you'll love to despise, at least until you get to know him, then you'll definitely be on #TeamSean for the long haul. He's trying to fix his past mistakes and get his best friend back into his life, but he has a lot of explaining to do.

Throw in a love triangle, second chance, and a mending heart - you'll be in for a beautiful fairy tale loosely based on the history of Pocahontas (don't rely on the Disney version).

This was a wonderful addition to the Modern Princess Collection and I hope we see a follow-up/redemption story someday with a certain character that I won't name. *Wink  wink, nudge nudge Tasha.*

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

I was humiliated at the end of freshman year. Now all I want to do is focus on my studies and avoid my former friend and love of my life, Sean Courtright. And I was doing just fine on all accounts until my favorite professor asked me for a favor: tutor the boy who shattered my heart.
If the request had come from anyone else, I would have turned him down.

Oh boy, I should have...Being cramped in the same room each day, his familiar scent wraps around me and soon, we both slip back into old patterns. If that wasn't enough, Sean raises the stakes and offers me a bet, one I can't possibly turn down, even if it sounds way too familiar to last year's broken heart.

Will fate allow us a second chance at love? Or will it all come crashing down, for the second time?

The Dance by Alison G. Bailey

💛💛💛💛

The Dance is beautifully heartbreaking! This book will pull out every emotion while you read, and I highly suggest having kleenex and chocolate nearby.

While I love Bryon's character, there were times were I just wanted to shake her and get some real feelings out. Will just needs to be taken to a pig farm...enough said.

Will is a lovable personality that will have you rooting for him to get the girl, even when you know it's not possible in the beginning. His past has made him into a wonderful character that I could read for hours.

The storyline hit VERY close to home for me, so it was hard to read in that aspect, but overall it was a beautiful story about second chances and overcoming painful secrets. This was my first book by Alison G. Bailey and I'm looking forward to more!

Summary:

Bryson Walker stumbled heart first into the steady rhythm of her life, never questioning whether other possibilities existed. She had been Will's girl since their junior year in high school, followed him to college, and married him soon after graduation.

In every respect, they were a loving and successful couple, until a series of missteps shattered all of Bryson's truths. Maybe their life was nothing more than smoke and mirrors. A performance that was never based in reality.

Hart was barely an acquaintance. He and Bryson shared one brief moment during senior prom, full of friction and heat that ignited a spark. But that night Bryson walked away and Hart let her go.

Years later, twisted fate brings Bryson and Hart together again, causing her to wonder if this is her second chance at once in a lifetime.

Anthony by Kelsie Rae (Signature Sweethearts #7)

💗💗💗💗

Kelsie Rae has a way of inviting the reader into the story with her writing, and holding your heart hostage. Anthony is a heart-warming, second chance romance you won't soon forget!

When two people with broken pasts cross paths with one another, you can see their walls are up to prevent any future heart break.

Anthony's past relationship has broken him and shattered every dream he's known for the majority of his life. The DUI was a wake-up call for where his life is headed if he doesn't change his destructive ways.

Throughout the story, Sway hints that she's unable to have a normal relationship due to something traumatic in her past. She has a special place in my heart and I enjoyed her playful banter with Anthony.

Pretty much anything that includes animals, especially rescues, has an automatic grip on my heart. This is my favorite in the series so far!

🐈 Animal Rescue
 💧 Drama
💋 Romance

Summary:
Anthony
Being responsible hasn't gotten me anywhere in life. My girlfriend left me for another guy. My career is over. I feel like I've lost everything.
Then I meet Sway Swenson.
She's sexy, fun, spontaneous, has zero inhibitions, and thinks relationships are a waste of time, just like me. She's perfect for getting me back into the game without looking for anything serious. The only problem? She's hiding something, and the longer I hang around her, the more I want to uncover her secret. If only she'd let me.

Sway
I don't do relationships. A crippling experience in high school was enough to make me avoid them like the plague.
Then I meet Anthony Wright.
Everything is fine until he decides to take off his stupid shirt and gives me a glimpse of his washboard abs. When he suggests hot and sweaty sex with no strings attached, I'm stupid enough to jump in with both feet. Yup. I fall for his ludicrous idea, but I refuse to fall for the man himself.
Even if he does make me curious about what life could be like if I wasn't broken.

Letters to Molly by Devney Perry (Maysen Jar #2)

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Letters to Molly is a beautifully written story. I'm so glad the author decided to let Molly share her story with the world. It's a perfect example of how important communication is, especially in relationships.

I haven't read The Birthday List yet (patiently waiting on my shelf), but it's next on my list. I don't mind seeing the outcome of the previous book in this story, since my favorite part is watching the couple find their way to each other.

I pre-ordered the paperback before I was even halfway through reading the ARC of Letters to Molly, and I'm so glad I'll have a physical copy to dive into anytime I want to revisit.

The timeline was done perfectly for the plot, and I found myself reading at every chance I could steal a moment. I personally felt a deeper connection to this story, since it involves divorce, but it's left me with a new purpose: to learn from past mistakes and use that knowledge to create a better future.

The Maysen Jar series is an absolute must-read. Be prepared for the occasional twist to be thrown at you that will leave you breathless, and plenty of moments to make you smile.

 💧 Drama
💋 Romance

Summary:
Molly and Finn Alcott had the picture-perfect marriage. With two gorgeous children, a lovely home and their own business, they were the couple others aspired to be. But when news of their divorce spreads through town like wildfire, it sends their beautiful image up in flames.

Molly spends years mending her broken heart. She finds joy in a life centered around her kids and career. Her happiness has a different picture now.

Then one day, she finds a letter in her mailbox. Written in Finn's handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, it's a letter he wrote Molly after their first date.

Week after week, Finn's letters appear. Each marks a date in their history. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly's heart. Each heals a wound from their past.

It's just too bad Finn isn't the one sending them.

Man Fast by Krista Sandor (Bergen Brothers #1)

💛💛💛💛💛

A beautifully written tale of second chances, proving that everyone deserves a chance at forgiveness and redemption. I'm a sucker for a good playboy character, especially one that is doing it to avoid dealing with a tragic loss.

Brennen Bergen is the perfect guy you want to dislike, but you find yourself rooting for him to find his own happiness, even if it's with a girl he can't have.

Abby Quinn is done with men and wants to focus on her career after moving across the country for fresh start. Her interactions with the students, especially one little pyro in particular, had me laughing out loud on several occasions!

You're also introduced to the other Bergen siblings in this book, so you'll be left counting down the days until the next one in the series is released. A wonderful start to a new series, I can't wait for Man Feast!

Krista Sandor has the exact blend of comedy, romance and drama - with a touch of steam. I highly recommend starting this series, but be warned you won't be able to put it down.

I listened to Man Fast while driving to Denver, and it was the perfect backdrop, since that's where the story takes place. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I cried like a baby during a certain scene, but it was worth it!

Summary:
Denver's biggest playboy is about to get schooled.

Brennen

Rich, powerful, and a former pro skier - nothing and no woman is off-limits to Brennen Bergen. Part of the billion-dollar Bergen mountain sports family, he's reigned supreme over the Denver social scene with his playboy antics.

But that's about to change when he meets Abby Quinn and gets schooled on the MAN FAST.

Abby

No dating. No boyfriends.

A complete Man Fast.

She's starting over in Denver and landed a teaching position at a prestigious elementary school. It's a temporary post, but if she does a good job, the position could be permanent.

Too bad Brennen Bergen has just thrown a wrench into her plans.

Forced to shape up or be cut out of his family's fortune, Brennen must prove he's a contributing member of the community by volunteering at his former elementary school - Abby's new school - and the place where he can't hide behind his bad boy ways to numb the pain he's carried for over a decade.

Baby Yours: Hunter & Lennon by Kennedy Fox (Roommate Duet #2)

💛💛💛💛💛

A wonderful conclusion to the heart-wrenching duet that begins with Baby Mine, so you MUST read that one first before diving into Baby Mine. It's a brutal start, but so worth the journey.

While pretending to be a happily married couple, expecting a baby, watching Hunter hide his true feelings for Lennon, gutted me to the core. Knowing there were still secrets that could ruin any potential relationship, had me hanging on to every page with bated breath.

As all Kennedy Fox books, they'll take you on a ride that you're not sure you'll survive, but you find yourself begging to go anyway. The emotions that the authors poor into their books make it that much more emotional and real for the reader.

Final warning: This duet will definitely leave you with a book hangover. Be prepared with kleenex, chocolate and plenty of coffee for the morning after. I couldn't go to sleep for over an hour after finishing this duet, and I loved every damn minute of it!

Synopsis:
The worst day of my life happened when Brandon died.
We had our entire future mapped out.
Careers, marriage, kids - in that order.
Then the universe threw a curveball and ended it all.

As I come to terms with everything, I learn I'm carrying his baby. Now I'm living with his roommate, the guy who's made my life a living hell the past two years. Hunter's now the one to hold me up when all I want to do is fall.

Knowing my religious parents will never accept the pregnancy out of wedlock, Hunter offers to be my fake husband. While I think he's gone crazy, it's the only plan that'll keep them in my life. So I do whatever it takes to make our relationship believable - kissing, touching, even letting him hold me when we sleep. The lines are so blurred, neither of us want to admit we're no longer pretending.

Baby Mine: Hunter & Lennon by Kennedy Fox (Roommate Duet #1)

💛💛💛💛💛

Hunter & Lennon's story is heartbreaking! I stayed up until 2am to finish this and nearly threw my Kindle after the final page. I knew I'd be left hanging until "Baby Yours" releases in May, and I thought I was emotionally prepared for whatever Kennedy Fox could throw at me...boy was I wrong!

I've never wanted to have an alibi and take a fictional character out to the woods before, but this book wrecked me. Watching Hunter love Lennon from afar, while trying to make her hate him, ripped a whole in my heart.

Kennedy Fox knows just how to make you open your heart enough to fall for their characters, only to rip it out and hold it hostage until the next book. If anyone drinks their readers tears, it's KF and I gladly supply them for the incredible journeys they take you on.

Summary:
After seeing Lennon first and missing the chance to pursue her, Hunter must sit back and watch his best friend fall in love and get the girl he can't stop thinking about.

When tragedy strikes, Hunter is left to not only put Lennon back together, but undo all of the damage he's done to push her away. Just when things are starting to look up, a wrench is thrown in the mix.

Advice from a Jilted Bride by Piper Rayne (The Baileys #2)

💙💙💙💙💙

The Baileys are fast becoming one of my favorite literary families! While each of these books can be read as a stand alone, they're definitely more enjoyable if you read the series in order. Each of the Baileys brings a different dynamic and history to their own story and I can't wait for the next one!
