A Mail-Order Illusion by Janelle Daniels (Miners to Millionaires – Book 8)

💜💜💜💜💜

Violet comes from high expectations and people who lie to her. With no real friends, she’s forced to make the best of a situation, which involves living with 8 other women. Her ice-cold exterior slowly starts to melt, but with no promises on the horizon, she contemplates returning to her controlling family.

Jimmy Thornton is well-off, and still recovering from his failed courting of Aria. When he rescues Violet, they make a secret arrangement, and in doing so, it enables them to get to know one another without any facades.

I loved watching their friendship blossom and grow. Trust the author to throw in a good twist just to keep you on your toes! Only 2 more books to go in the series, but it’ll definitely be one that I revisit often.

A Mail-Order Escape by Janelle Daniels (Miners to Millionaires - Book 7)

When young widow Sadie Johnston goes into labor in the woods, she ends up at the home of Owen Judd, who helps her deliver the baby, and forms a bond with the duo. Sadie has been traumatized from her previous relationship and friendship is all she’s willing to share with anyone, especially with having a child involved now.

This was another charming story in the Mail-Order Brides series (Ivan’s Brides, lol). I loved the relationship aspects between Owen and Sadie, his patience with her past and adoration for baby Jack made my ovaries cry. I love how each story in the series still involves all of the other brides, so you can still get to know the others who haven’t had their story told yet, and revisit some of the previous brides as well.
