Dewey Belong Together by Ann Whynot (Green Valley Library #7)

📘📘📘📘📘

I couldn't love this book more! Dewey Belong Together has the perfect blend of romantic comedy and drama, but be prepared to have some tissues on hand.

The first half of the book is filled with the best enemies to lovers shenanigans, while the second half is spent dealing with the realities of mental illness.

This was a tremendous debut novel and I appreciate the tact and realism used when discussing anxiety and bipolar disorder. My heart broke for the characters, as I've been in that situation and have seen the devastation it can cause.

A beautifully written story that will have gaming nerd lovers (like myself) unite! I immediately bought the paperback as soon as I finished reading the ebook, as I know this will be one I read again soon, and need to have my BFF read immediately!

Carpentry and Cocktails by Nora Everly (Green Valley Library #5)

💙💙💙💙💙

My favorite so far from Nora Everly! I'm astounded every time I read a new book from this author and I kick myself for not discovering her writing sooner.

Carpentry and Cocktails ties perfectly into the Green Valley Library series and will dive into the lives of a few characters you've met in the previous books, but can be read as a stand alone.

Willa is the kind of character who makes the most out of a bad situation, but pushes people away to protect them, even if it's at the expense of her own happiness.

Along comes Everett who refuses to take no for an answer and sees more than just the immediate possibilities with Willa. This man will sweep you off your feet and create some high expectations for men in reality, lol.

A beautiful story about not giving up and overcoming what life throws at you. If there's one book you don't want to miss out on, it's this one! Full of compassion, romance, humor and strength - this has it all.

SUMMARY:

Everett Monroe can't keep his eyes off his gorgeous tenant.

He'd like to put his hands on her too, but she's prickly, closed-off, and gives new meaning  to the word disgruntled. In other words, she's his perfect match and he'll do anything to make her see it too.

Willa Hill has finally left her teen runaway past behind and wants a fresh start -- alone. Men are nothing but trouble and she's had enough man-trouble to last a lifetime. Too bad her irresistibly sexy, nerdy-hot landlord doesn't agree.

When their mutual yearning becomes a white-hot fling and passion crosses carefully drawn, albeit one-sided boundaries, Everett finds himself in love and Will finds herself in a pickle.

Because, unfortunately, when she returned to Green Valley, her problems came too. When the past she escaped crashes into the future she finds herself wanting more than anything, will Willa stay in Green Valley?

Or will she run away again?

Shelf Awareness by Katie Ashley (Green Valley Library #4)

📕📕📕📕📕

Shelf Awareness is the perfect tale of finding happiness when you least expect it! The story brings together two people who are broken in their own ways.

While their friendship grows, Zeke and Finley help one another deal with their past issues, with the assistance/interference of three hilarious "godmothers" butting in.

This was my first book by Katie Ashley, and man did I fall hard and fast for these characters. I loved this story and was sad when it was over, as I could've stayed in their world for much longer.

Summary:

After catching her husband in a compromising position, the last thing that Finley Granger wants is to enter the insanity that is the dating world. She's dealing with enough upheaval: she's quit her job as a journalist in Atlanta to start over as a librarian in the backwoods town of Green Valley, Tennessee. But her grandmother has other ideas. When GramBea teams up with her sister, Dot, and their best friend, Estelle, Finley finds herself surrounded by a trio of well-meaning yet incredibly bumbling matchmakers.

In spite of their efforts, there's only one man she's curious about, and that's Zeke Masters, the library's volunteer IT specialist. Sure, he's 6'4", impossibly build, ridiculously good-looking, and gets her nether regions tingling. However, it's the tingle of her journalist spidey-senses that holds her attention most as she wonders why he's on sabbatical from Seattle. Is he on lam, or on the run from a bad relationship? As Finley finds herself reluctantly drawn to the gorgeous IT guy, she can't help but wonder: should she indulge in a little rebound fun with the mysterious Zeke - or has she finally met her match?

Prose Before Bros by Cathy Yardley (Green Valley Library #3)

GVL03-BANNER-RB-SBPR

📇📇📇📇📇

Prose Before Bros will hold you captive til the last page! This was a perfect mix of sweet librarian and the bad boy, leaving you breathless in anticipation, reading faster than you can turn the page.

Most of the angst is with Drill and the Iron Wraiths, but there's also a bit of drama with Thuy at the library. Her interactions with the youth is heartwarming to see and I love her backbone throughout the story.

It's been a while since a book had me nervous that I wouldn't get a happy ending, so I was reading this every moment I could: at work, in the drive-thru, listening to the horrible Kindle voice while driving - I couldn't put it down!

I'm so incredibly blown away by all of the books in the Green Valley Library series. I love revisiting locations and characters previously created by Penny Reid, and this story blew me away. It was my first read by Cathy Yardley and I'm definitely adding her to my must-read list!

Nothing about being a librarian prepared Thuy Nguyen for such a wide variety of casseroles. Or life in a small town. Or becoming a farmer.

But what can she do when her catastrophe-prone best friend begs her for help? After all, Maddy has always been there for Thuy. It’s time to return the favor.

It’s simple really, all she has to do is: learn everything about farming ASAP, save her BBF’s family business from disaster, and avoid being caught staring at Maddy’s biker brother, and his muscles, and his smile, and his soulful, sexy eyes.

Oh yeah, and she should definitely not fall in love with him.

Easy, right? . . . Right.

'Prose Before Bros' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book#3 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Crime and Periodicals by Nora Everly (Green Valley Library #2)

GVL02-BANNERRB-SBPR

📇📇📇📇📇

Crime and Periodicals spoke volumes to me! My little book nerd self is so happy after reading this book, and I want to work in a library even more now.

Sabrina has had a tough upbringing, dealing with loss and trying to make the best of a bad situation. She wants to adopt and care for her nephew that she's practically raised since birth, but his birth father keeps showing up to intimidate and terrorize her.

Enter local Sheriff Wyatt Monroe, who's a single father and instantly drawn to Sabrina. He has the overwhelming urge to protect her and keep her safe, but can he get past her walls?

The children in this story will run away with your heart and have you cheering for a happy ending! I loved watching Sabrina come out of her shell, embracing the world around her, including beloved characters from Penny Reid's world. A wonderful story that you'll want to read all over again!

20190718_GVL02_Crime and Periodicals_Everly_KDP_FINAL

In Green Valley, Tennessee everybody knows everybody, but nobody knows Sabrina Logan.

Sabrina has been hiding in plain sight for years. Living her life inside of books, dutifully helping her family, and hoping no one will notice her. So far? Mission accomplished!

Yet when sexy—and distrustful—sheriff, Wyatt Monroe returns to town with his daughters, he definitely notices the quiet librarian everyone else overlooks. The single dad can’t seem to shake thoughts of shy Sabrina. Without quite understanding the impulse, Wyatt makes his mission finding her again, so he can . . . well, he’ll just have to reckon with that later.

What Wyatt discovers is a woman who trusts too easily, but who’s afraid to live. Trust doesn’t come easily to Wyatt. But living? That’s never been a problem.

And he’d sure like to show her how.

'Crime and Periodicals' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book#2 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Love in Due Time by L.B. Dunbar (Green Valley Library #1)

📕📕📕📕📕

Love in Due Time is a second chance romance with a twist! My heart wasn't prepared for how much I'd fall for the characters in this book.

Naomi has suffered more than anyone knows, but she's stomped it down to live her life as safe as possible. Too bad the past comes rushing to the surface when Nathan enters her life again.

Nathan is a single father of two growing girls, so this story was worth it just for their story and shenanigans, let alone for Naomi's history.

Fair warning - this book was not as light-hearted as I expected, so you might need a tissue or two, but it's one journey you don't want to miss.

The perfect mix with two of my favorite tropes: second chance romance and single dad - this story had me from the start!

 ðŸ’§ Drama
💋 Romance

Summary:
Naomi Winters will be forty -- soon-ish -- and she's only been with one man. One night. One time. Long ago. She believes everything happens for a reason, and the universe spoke about Nathan Ryder.

Nathan Ryder isn't the same man who hightailed his bike out of Green Valley eighteen years ago. As a rule breaker, women are one area he acts a fool. Case in point...the local librarian. He can't get a read on her, but she's one risk he's willing to take. Again.

What do an eccentric librarian and a sexy biker have in common? More than you think.

The due date on their love might not be expired after all.
