Misadventures of a Biker by Scott Hildreth (Misadventures Series #29)

💜💜💜💜

Alpha male at it's finest! Misadventures of a Biker is brought to life by the authors male perspective, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.

Devin is just released from serving eight years in prison for defending someone and all he needs is a job so he doesn't have to go back. He's blunt, candid and charming in the most masculine ways.

Teddi is at risk of losing her reputation if she can't sell a certain property asap, so she has nothing to lose by trusting the new receptionist when he gives her advice. Unfortunately, she's fighting her attraction to him on a daily basis, telling herself why it would be a bad idea to become involved with him.

This book was a wild ride from start to finish, with plenty of heat in between. The banter between the characters will have you laughing, as well as the unlikely friendships built along the way. A great addition to the Misadventures Series and a wonderful read from a new-to-me author!

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

He was bad to the bone...

Devin "Bone" Wallace is fresh out of prison and under orders from his parole office to find employment or be re-incarcerated. He's not exactly a "people person" and he's got zero computer skills, but that doesn't stop him from applying at one of the most prestigious real estate firms on Florida's Gulf Coast.

High-end real estate broker Tedi Mack's main focus is selling eight-figure beachfront mansions. In desperate need of an office receptionist, she interviews three bubblegum-chewing twenty-somethings and a stunningly handsome tattooed biker who wears his wallet on a chain. Tedi and her all-woman sales staff make a very quick decision: Devin the biker.

After Devin makes a recommendation about a listing that's been a thorn in Tedi's side, the property sells, and the celebration leads to an unexpected connection. The attraction is undeniable and hard to resist, but Tedi would be risking her social and professional status being with Devin, a tattooed biker saddled with debt and a surprising criminal past.

Prose Before Bros by Cathy Yardley (Green Valley Library #3)

GVL03-BANNER-RB-SBPR

📇📇📇📇📇

Prose Before Bros will hold you captive til the last page! This was a perfect mix of sweet librarian and the bad boy, leaving you breathless in anticipation, reading faster than you can turn the page.

Most of the angst is with Drill and the Iron Wraiths, but there's also a bit of drama with Thuy at the library. Her interactions with the youth is heartwarming to see and I love her backbone throughout the story.

It's been a while since a book had me nervous that I wouldn't get a happy ending, so I was reading this every moment I could: at work, in the drive-thru, listening to the horrible Kindle voice while driving - I couldn't put it down!

I'm so incredibly blown away by all of the books in the Green Valley Library series. I love revisiting locations and characters previously created by Penny Reid, and this story blew me away. It was my first read by Cathy Yardley and I'm definitely adding her to my must-read list!

Nothing about being a librarian prepared Thuy Nguyen for such a wide variety of casseroles. Or life in a small town. Or becoming a farmer.

But what can she do when her catastrophe-prone best friend begs her for help? After all, Maddy has always been there for Thuy. It’s time to return the favor.

It’s simple really, all she has to do is: learn everything about farming ASAP, save her BBF’s family business from disaster, and avoid being caught staring at Maddy’s biker brother, and his muscles, and his smile, and his soulful, sexy eyes.

Oh yeah, and she should definitely not fall in love with him.

Easy, right? . . . Right.

'Prose Before Bros' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book#3 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.
