Eye Candy by Jiffy Kate (Fighting for Love #3)

💜💜💜💜💜

There's a first time for everything! Eye Candy is the perfect addition to the Fighting for Love series, and the new covers are amazing.

Always doing what her parents expect of her, Maggie's one true freedom in life is writing an advice column under a pen name. When Vali Erickson finally takes notice of her one day, her life will never be the same.

Vali is only in Green Valley for a limited time to help his family and move past his own turmoil. He has no interest in tying himself down in a relationship, but Maggie is nothing like the women he's met before, and he's become enamored by her.

They come to a no-strings agreement, to enjoy the time they have with no regrets, but that's always easier said than done.

Maggie and Val are two genuinely caring people who deserve happiness, but always put family first. This is a wonderful story of two people who love unconditionally, they just need to make their own happiness a priority.

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

Vali Erickson is the classic middle child -- misunderstood, underestimated, and overlooked. He's fine with it. Really. The overlooked part is actually serving him well during this phase of life.

He's in Green Valley in an effort to fly under the radar and regroup after a life-altering blow to his heart and ego. The last thing he's looking for is a woman to warm his bed, until one throws him to the mat and rocks his world.

Margaret O'Neal is an only child who has led a sheltered life. She's used to being a wallflower. Her ability to blend into the background is what allows her to maintain her anonymity as a gossip columnist for the Green Valley Ledger.

Since the Ericksons moved to town, she's never felt more inspired, especially with the newest addition. Vali Erickson is the definition of eye candy -- devastatingly handsome with muscles for days -- giving her plenty to report about.

The more Maggie observes, the more she finds herself wanting things she's only read about in romance novels.

Admiring Vali from afar is good enough for her until their paths cross and she finds herself trying to stay afloat in uncharted territory -- no labels, no promises, and WAY out of her comfort zone.

Will this arrangement be what finally breaks her out of her shell, or will her heart be a casualty of the Viking Invasion?

Carpentry and Cocktails by Nora Everly (Green Valley Library #5)

💙💙💙💙💙

My favorite so far from Nora Everly! I'm astounded every time I read a new book from this author and I kick myself for not discovering her writing sooner.

Carpentry and Cocktails ties perfectly into the Green Valley Library series and will dive into the lives of a few characters you've met in the previous books, but can be read as a stand alone.

Willa is the kind of character who makes the most out of a bad situation, but pushes people away to protect them, even if it's at the expense of her own happiness.

Along comes Everett who refuses to take no for an answer and sees more than just the immediate possibilities with Willa. This man will sweep you off your feet and create some high expectations for men in reality, lol.

A beautiful story about not giving up and overcoming what life throws at you. If there's one book you don't want to miss out on, it's this one! Full of compassion, romance, humor and strength - this has it all.

SUMMARY:

Everett Monroe can't keep his eyes off his gorgeous tenant.

He'd like to put his hands on her too, but she's prickly, closed-off, and gives new meaning  to the word disgruntled. In other words, she's his perfect match and he'll do anything to make her see it too.

Willa Hill has finally left her teen runaway past behind and wants a fresh start -- alone. Men are nothing but trouble and she's had enough man-trouble to last a lifetime. Too bad her irresistibly sexy, nerdy-hot landlord doesn't agree.

When their mutual yearning becomes a white-hot fling and passion crosses carefully drawn, albeit one-sided boundaries, Everett finds himself in love and Will finds herself in a pickle.

Because, unfortunately, when she returned to Green Valley, her problems came too. When the past she escaped crashes into the future she finds herself wanting more than anything, will Willa stay in Green Valley?

Or will she run away again?

No Whisk No Reward by Ellie Kay (Donner Bakery #3)

💜💜💜💜💜

No Whisk, No Reward is a sweet treat you won't forget! Through the embarrassment Sophie suffers, and the mystery behind Joel, you'll be drawn in to this entertaining adventure from the first page.

Sophie Copeland is running from her bad luck and it leads her to Green Valley and the wonderful Donner Bakery.

Joel Barnes is a mystery to behold, but you'll find yourself waiting to hear his story from the man himself, not the gossip mongers in town.

I've loved every book in this series so far, and especially getting to visit with characters from the Penny Reid World (though I won't drop names and spoil the surprise).

A feel good romance, with minimal drama and plenty of laughter. You can't go wrong with this book, just make sure you have plenty of treats nearby!

Summary:
How do you know if a risk is worth taking? If you knew, there wouldn't be any risk.

Following a disastrous appearance on a television baking show, Sophie Copeland is certain things can't get any worse. Several calamities later, Sophie finds herself in Green Valley, Tennessee with no plan, no place to stay, and no prospects. But at least she has a temporary seasonal arrangement with the famed Donner Bakery. And that's something, right?

It's not permanent, and it's not a home, but it's still something.

Enter Joel Barnes, a Green Valley mystery, wrapped in rumors, and a whispered connection to the local notorious biker gang. Joel's got a name for being bad news, but he also has an apartment for rent.

Intrigued by the dichotomy of Joel's reputation and sexy southern pull, Sophie can't help but be tempted, even though she knows -- given her (bad) luck -- she should stay far, far away...

Yet as everyone knows, without risk, there's no reward.

'No Whisk, No Reward' is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book #3 in the Donner Bakery series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.
