Friends With Benedicts by Staci Hart

☕☕☕☕

A delightful second chance romance! Friends With Benedicts brings us Presley's story, which if you're like me, you fell for this single mom with an adorable little girl in Bet The Farm, and have been curious ever since.

I love a good small-town romance, and this definitely delivered with plenty of humor, a catty ex, and a town full of lovable characters. You'll be so drawn in to the story that it'll be over before you know it, leaving you craving breakfast foods.

Two people who've always wanted more, but were thankful for the summers they had with each other. They both have the chance to pursue their dreams, but at the cost of a future together. This was a light-hearted and feel-good romcom that'll make you smile!

SUMMARY:

Timing is everything.

Presley Hale and Sebastian Vargas are no strangers to goodbye. Their high school summers were spent wrapped up in each other until she would inevitably go home to California. One season after college, Sebastian finally escaped the little Texas town to travel the world, and they said goodbye for what they thought might be the last time.
Sebastian went one way. Presley went the other.

For the first time in five years, they're both in town, but the timing is no better than ever. So the only thing to do is what they do best. Keep it casual.

Friends with benefits.

They've done it before -- doing it again will be easy.

But their hearts don't get the memo.

When the lines of their arrangement blur, Presley and Sebastian are faced with decisions they've avoided for years. And that's not even their biggest problem.
A small town in danger of failing.

A secret that could tear them apart.

And two hearts that can't hide anymore.

They've shared so many summers, but none compare to what they'll face.

Timing is everything.
And their time is almost up.

Damien by Amanda Shelley (Perfectly Independent #3)

❤❤❤❤❤

Read this with a side of bacon! Damien finally brings us Vanessa's story, which if you've read Vince's book (I highly recommend doing this first), you're already enamored with Jules.

Vanessa was a teenage mother, then lost both her parents soon after having Julia, leaving only her brother as a support system. She works hard and attends college, all while raising her adorable daughter.

Damien has been burned in the past, but I love that he's willing to be there for Vanessa and Julia, through the good and the bad times. His pure adoration and willingness towards the girls will win him book boyfriend of the year!

A slow burn that's worth the wait! I already loved Jules from the previous book in the series, but she's still one of my favorite scene-stealers. The chemistry between Damien and Vanessa shows through their flirting banter, leaving you counting down until one of them owns up to how they feel.

Fans of the Perfectly Independent series will enjoy seeing their favorite characters again, not to mention an epilogue for the books! I'm also immediately reading about Damien's sister Dani, who has her own story in Making the Call.

💋 Romance

SUMMARY:

When I walk into the diner, all I'm looking for is a decent meal. As a civil engineer for the largest project on campus, I just want to eat in peace. I'm happy to find this hidden gem since students are scarce. Don't get me wrong, co-eds on campus are beautiful, but I was over that scene when I graduated three years ago. I need to finish this job and move onto the next one by the end of the year.

Then Vanessa walks up with a simple smile and takes my breath away. The next thing I know, I'm making every excuse imaginable to dine with this intriguing woman. She's not only smart and sexy; she's completely focused on reaching the goals she has set for herself.

The more I get to know her, the more I know she's the one. I just have to find a way to make her deviate from her perfectly laid plans and take a chance on me.

Weekend Wife by Erin McCarthy

💛💛💛💛💛

Weekend Wife is the role of a lifetime! This was a fun, romantic comedy that I'd love to read again in the near future. My first read by Erin McCarthy and I'm now hooked!

Grant and Leah had amazing chemistry from the start, so I love that their fake relationship grew from a friendship they had already established.

Leah is an actress currently waiting tables, fighting her attraction for the handsome man she can't get a read on, who comes in to the diner every week.

Grant thought he could get over his fascination with Leah if he saw her once a week. When things spin out of control, his family gives him an ultimatum that sets certain events in motion.

Filled with witty banter, steamy scenes, and amazing characters. I read this all in one sitting (had my Kindle read it out loud to me at work), and I laughed so much at the most inappropriate times, lol. Weekend Wife is the perfect weekend read to get you ready for Valentine's Day.

😂 Comedy
💋 Romance

Summary:

Billionaire businessman in need of a fake fiancee...

It should be the easiest job ever for an out-of-work actress, right?

All I have to do is pose as Grant Caldwell (the Third)'s fiancee for a fancy-pants weekend in the Hamptons. Easy. Wear designer clothing and sip champagne? Don't mind if I do. Flirting with Grant? It's so delicious I should be paying him.

Nothing can go wrong as long as I can keep my hands off of him.

But that's the hard part. And I do mean hard.

Because Grant is sexy.
And bossy.
And surprisingly sweet, a real rarity in his pretentious family.

Oops. I'm not as good at faking it as I thought. Or maybe they call this method acting. Because it's getting harder to figure out where my character ends and I begin...

It just might be the role of a lifetime.
