A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

❤❤❤❤❤

One of the best thrillers I've read! I devoured this book in one day and couldn't put it down. The writing makes you feel like you're right there along with Pippa as she investigates a 5 year old murder for a class project.

The only issue I had with it was the verbal variations as it was clearly written with British terms, but I've gotten used to most of the differences from previous books.

This was a roller coaster ride that I never wanted to end, with plot twists you won't see coming, which is a rarity for me anymore, so I was pleasantly surprised. I immediately bought the books in hardback so my co-worker could borrow them, mainly so I'd have someone else to discuss my theories with!

SUMMARY:

The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.

But having grown up in the same small town was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?

Say You're Sorry by Karen Rose (Sacramento Series #1)

❤❤❤❤❤

Say You're Sorry is a thrilling onion, with many layers to captivate and intrigue you! I couldn't put this book down, and kept trying to figure out what was going to happen next, only to be kept on my toes in suspense.

I enjoy when stories are told from multiple points of view, it helps my anxiety level to actually be able to see the dark inner workings of the villain (evil as they may be).

This was definitely out of my comfort range, as I typically read romance, drama or comedies, but I highly recommend this if you're looking for a good mystery/thriller. I can't wait for more in the series and have already purchased other works by this author. A must-read if you enjoy serial killer podcasts!

Summary:
When Daisy Dawson thwarts an attack by a serial killer, her whole world is turned upside down as she works with the authorities to track down the suspect, and figure out his motives.

Working with FBI Special Agent Gideon Reynolds, is the last thing she expected, especially since her family friends have been trying to set her up with him since she moved to town. Gideon has demons of his own and ones that tie to evidence that Daisy removed from her attacker.

Blood Bond Saga - Part 1 by Helen Hardt

❤❤❤❤❤

Holy bloodsucker! I forgot how much I love a good vampire book. I took a break after the Twilight franchise was complete.

Book 1 introduces us to Dante Gabriel, a vampire that's been held captive for the last ten years. When Erin Hamilton crosses his path, while working at the hospital, their bond is instant, but neither of them understand the pull.

I've been listening to this all day at work and am immediately starting Part 2! I love Helen Hardt's writing and she has delivered another twisted tale, while throwing in a bit of romance.

I can't wait to learn more about Dante's past and get some answers! Great start to the series!

The Red Ledger 2 by Meredith Wild

💖💖💖💖💖

Meredith has outdone herself again with the second part of this series. The best way to describe it, is Alias meets Jason Bourne. What a wild ride this takes you on, with twists and characters you don't see coming. Everytime they give you a glimpse at a plot twist that might solve one mystery, it leaves you with 3 more burning questions.

I need part 3 now! With a hit still out on Isabel's life, Tristan wants to discover the secrets of his past, while trying to keep her safe. I finished the first two books of the series in one sitting and the wait for August to get here, can't come fast enough! Meredith Wild has a way of drawing you into the story, in a way that feels as though you're a part of the book and once you start reading, the word "bookmark" is irrelevant.
