The Dating Playbook by Farrah Rochon (The Boyfriend Project #2)

🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

Loved it with my whole heart! This was the perfect fake dating story between an NFL star and a personal trainer. If you're looking for a great romcom to end your summer, this is the one you want.

Taylor has debt coming out of her ears, so when Jamal offers her an insane amount of money and the opportunity to get her business off the ground, in order to get him back into shape, she can't say no.

Taylor is such a fierce and lovable character that a lot of us can relate to. I also enjoyed the flirty banter between the two, and felt the story had the perfect blend of humor, romance and realism. These two are one of my new favorite couples, and I can't wait for more in this series!

I was lucky enough to listen to the audiobook thanks to an advanced copy from Hachette Audio, and it brings the characters to life perfectly.

SUMMARY:

When a personal trainer agrees to fake date her client, all rules are out the window in this delightful romantic comedy from the USA Today bestselling author of The Boyfriend Project!

When it comes to personal training, Taylor Powell kicks serious butt. Unfortunately, her bills are piling up, rent is due, and the money situation is dire. Taylor needs more than the support of her new best friends, Samiah and London. She needs a miracle.

And Jamar Dixon might just be it. The oh-so-fine former footballer wants back into the NFL, and he wants Taylor to train him. There's just one catch -- no one can know what they're doing. But when they're accidentally outed as a couple, Taylor's game plan is turned completely upside down. Is Jamar just playing to win...or is he playing for keeps?

The Trouble With Quarterbacks by R.S. Grey

🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

You had me at Foosball! The Trouble With Quarterbacks isn't your regular Sports RomCom - this one had everything you could want:

**Hilarious moments
**Adorable nephew
**Just a smidge of drama
**Plenty of stolen kisses

From their first encounter, I knew I was going to love everything Candace and Logan brought to this story. From tender moments, to dealing with the crazy paparazzi, this book draws you in and won't let your heart go.

I always know that I'm guaranteed plenty of laughter and romance with any R.S. Grey book, and I have to admit this is probably my favorite one so far! Hot NFL Uncle and a British preschool teacher, with two hysterical flatmates, what more could you ask for?

😄 Comedy
 💧 Drama
🔥 Steamy Romance

SUMMARY:

CANDACE: KAT & YASMINE! DO NOT DALLY! Come straight home after work. Kat, don't take the long route from the subway station just so you can pass by Cute Hot Dog Guy. This is important!

I've had THE BEST DAY. You won't believe it. There I was in my preschool classroom, washing a bit of poo out of some soggy trousers, when this absolute babe came to collect his nephew from my class.

Truthfully, I thought I'd blacked out for a moment when I first saw him. He was a proper hunk with glorious brown hair, quite tall, and he had these arms. Are muscly arms supposed to turn me on? I'm panting just thinking about them.

Anyway, he told me he's a professional foosball player. At least, I think that's what he said. The tots can get quite loud near pick-up time.

YASMINE: Foosball? What are you on about? Have you gone mad?

KAT: Oh sod off. So what if I like to have a good look at Hot Dog Guy's arse on my trek home after a hard day's work? It's called self-care.

CANDACE: Kat, you're hopeless. Yasmine, yes -- foosball! I suppose it's a big thing over here in the States? We must investigate and learn everything we can.

By the way, he's called Logan.

Logan + Candace. I think that sounds quite nice! I can hear the wedding bells now. Dum dum da-dum.

YASMINE: Oh good grief. I suppose we can do some snooping when I get home. I'll grab wine on my way.

The Play Maker by L.M. Carr (The Sideline Series #1)

🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

The Play Maker is a touchdown in my book! Not only is this a second chance romance, it also features another one of my favorite tropes: brother's best friend.

Addison Hamilton (AJ) is tasked with interviewing the one person she never wanted to lay eyes on again. The only person who's ever meant anything to her, and shattered her heart.

Julian MacIntyre wants to make amends and win Addison back, but he has quite the task of earning her trust again. After a career-ending injury, he finds himself the youngest coach in the NFL, but his heart is still torn between wishing he could be on the field.

With life throwing obstacles in the way, as well as a pig that refuses to take no for an answer, and a blackmailer from AJ's past, you'll be drawn into the story as it unfolds.

Plenty of steam, sports, drama, and a touch of humor - this book is a wonderful start to a new series. While I figured out early on who was behind the texts, I still couldn't put this put down until I finished, and I can't wait to read Rence's story next!

💧 Drama
🏈 Sports Romance

Summary:

Playing football ruled every decision Julian MacIntyre ever made, including leaving his high school sweetheart behind to follow his dream. Sidelined by an injury on the field, he’s now making a huge comeback to the NFL as the league’s youngest head coach.

He wants it all. The glory, the job and the girl he walked away from years ago.

As one of the top sports reporters, Addison Hamilton has made a name for herself in a male-dominated industry. Proven to be a hard-nosed journalist, she asks the tough questions, but when given the opportunity to interview the man who broke her heart, is she willing to cross the lines of professionalism to get the answers she needs?
