Illusion on Ice by S.R. Grey (Boys of Winter #7)

🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒

Noel Sandlund is the epitome of a perfect book boyfriend! I love how he just wants to take care of Maisie and make all her dreams come true, especially going to school and getting an education.

Maisie on the other hand, I wanted to throttle her for a few chapters. Her mother is an atrocious creature, but I don't support lying, so watching her lie to Noel for so long, made me ill.

Noel and Maisie come from two different worlds, but everything seems to disappear when they're together. The chemistry is undeniable and you find yourself just wanting to comfort Maisie and tell her everything will be alright, even though it won't be...

This is the first book I've read in the Boys of Winter series, but I'll definitely be reading the other ones, asap! Great conflict and story line, this book was one that I couldn't put down.

Summary:
Confession time:
My name is Noel Sandlund and I play professional hockey - defense to be exact.
I lead a pretty good life. I'm not hurting for money and the ladies seem to like me.
And now things have gotten even better - I think I may have fallen in love.

See, while I was in Sweden playing in the world hockey championships this off-season, I met Maisie Troy.

And, man, she's it for me.

Confession time:
I'm Maisie Troy.
This summer I met a man who's everything I've ever wanted and more.
His name is Noel and he's hot and sweet and plays amazing hockey.
I think he could be the one.

Too bag there's one huge problem - I'm not who he thinks I am.

No, I'm just an illusion.
An illusion that's about to shatter...like ice.

Forward Progress by S.R. Grey (Men of Fall #1)

💛💛💛💛💛

Graham Tettersaw is a former NFL quarter back, looking to make a comeback after fighting a pain-killer addiction from his injury. When a team shows interest in him, their one requirement is he has to pretend Eden is his girlfriend.

Eden Vetterly is trying to provide for her younger brother, who has been accepted into an alternative art school. When she's given the opportunity to make a lot of money while pretending to be someone's girlfriend, it seems too good to be true.

When Graham and Eden start to blur the lines between their pretend relationship and real feelings, they're thrown for a loop by the league and must figure out if they even have a real chance at love.

I loved the chemistry between the characters, and Eden's brother was a perfect addition to the story! A charming sports romance and my first encounter with the author, I'll definitely be starting the Boys of Winter series next!
