The Lying Hours introduces us to Abraham Davis, who surprisingly is the complete opposite of the typical douchebag. I adore his caring nature, which puts him in the sticky situation with Skylar.
I always laugh so hard during any of the books in this series, even more so when I listen to the Audiobook version. Abe's heart is in the right place, but the longer he waits to own up to the truth, the worse it makes the situation.
Skylar is sick of the typical guy and nobody being genuine. After weeding through duds and going on a nightmare of a date, that she walked out of, she doesn't understand why "JB" keeps messaging her.
Sara Ney is the queen of writing witty banter and the interaction between Abe and Skylar is awkwardly hysterical and heartwarming. The secondary characters add that extra humor without a filter. I love the Douchebag series and this was another wonderful addition!

Summary:
Abe Davis is a fixer of everyone else's problems, nicknames "Grandfather", he's always there to bail someone out of trouble. After suffering from a rough break up, his roommate needs someone to filter through matches on a dating app, so he doesn't waste his time. Enter Skylar...
When one of the matches turns out to be someone that peaks Abe's interest, he warns JB to be nice to her and not mess it up...that's not how the date ends.
Skylar Gabriel is just looking for a nice guy that can make her laugh, but the version of JB she meets in person is NOTHING like the guy she's been chatting with online.
So where does she go from there? She walks out. Unfortunately, Abe can't stop thinking about her, but how do you pursue someone that doesn't know who you are?
